Firefighting access should be provided from at least two directions and should not require crossing an adjacent unit. Access ways should be provided at least every 200 ft (61 m) and beat least 20 ft (6 m) wide and not pass under pipe ways. These access ways serve as firebreaks and permit firefighting from two directions with 100 ft (30 m) lengths of hose. 

In order to provide liquid access to the microfluidic chips, holes are usually created on the cover plate. These access holes are usually created on glass by drilling using diamond drill bits. However, other methods have also been used, and these are summarized in Table 2.4. 

As well as predicting protein structure, it is also of interest to try to predict solvent accessibility from the protein s primary sequence of amino acid residues. Solvent accessibility concerns the area of a protein s surface that is exposed to the surrounding solvent. The importance of this concept is that these accessible regions have the potential to interact with other entities, including endogenous proteins and drugs. Similarly, if the protein of interest is an enzyme, only residues with solvent accessibility could be part of the enzyme s active site. This means that an interaction site of interest, one involved in signal transduction (see Krauss, 2003), requires spatial accessibility to the solvent (Ofiran and Rost, 2005). 

By the evaporation of large inland seas or land-locked lakes of large drainage basins in geologic history, extensive subterranean deposits of sodium chloride and other salts in layers of cumulative thickness as great as 400 m have been laid down in many parts of the world. Deposits in well-consolidated strata and less than 500-600 m below the surface are usually economic to work by conventional mining techniques. In Canada, these accessible deposits amount to about 74% of the total and in the U.S.A., about 35% of the total [1, 2].

These accessions represent a wide array of diversity and the major sorghum areas in the country. However, the collection is not exhaustive and does not cover the whole country, and a systematic collection and updating is lacking. 

However, the pharmaceutical industry successfully battled GAO for a decade to prevent GAO from using these access to records clauses to obtain information about individual companies research, development, and marketing costs. The following discussion outlines GAO s unsuccessful attempt to obtain research, development, marketing, and promotional costs from the industry, demonstrating the industry s willingness to fight disclosure. 

From the infrared spectroscopy of adsorbed CO it appears that aging treatments, as low as 923 K, lead to a migration of the active isolated copper ions to inaccessible sites. In these conditions an agglomeration is not detected but, after aging at 1173 K, an agglomeration is evidenced both by XRD and by the infrared bands of CO adsorbed on partially reduced bulk CuO oxide. These accessible copper oxide crystallites are probably located at the external surface of the zeolite and are inactive. In fact, the activity remains correlated to the number of Cu VCu isolated ions deduced from the infrared spectra of adsorbed CO and located in the zeolite structure. This correlation holds whatever the treatment and whatever the Si/Al ratio (Table 4). 

A well-designed generic or purpose built laboratory-scale furnaces will include as many access points as possible. These access points, often just penetrations into the furnace, allow both in-situ and extractive measurements to be taken. These ports can be used in conjunction with a gas analysis train to perform detailed composition mapping of the furnace. Other tools, discussed in Section... 

Access to valve headwheels and instruments will influence piping arrangement around heat exchangers. Valve handwheels should be accessible from grade and from a convenient access way. These access ways should be used for arranging manifolds, control valves and instruments. 

At least two generalizations can made from a study of these accessible conformations of glucosides. Although a large number of amylose conformations is observed, a great many more are possible. 

Linear optical processes give important information about the energies of the dipole allowed states. However, dark states - namely those with no dipole moment to the ground state - are inaccessible. Nonlinear optical processes, on the other hand, involve transitions between two or more states, so these access the dipole-forbidden states. In this chapter we explain how third order nonlinear process can be used to identify these forbidden states.

LA. Infusion The angiographic catheters used for pediatric arterial infusion should be the smallest caliber possible. We often use 4-F catheters and gain initial femoral artery access with 4-F micropuncture systems. These access systems use a 21-gauge needle and an 0.018-in. guidewire for initial arterial entry. A two-part transition dilator is used to scale up the access to accept an 0.035-in. guidewire for which a 4-F catheter can be inserted. On occasion, ultrasound-guided arterial access can be used especially when spasm has occurred and the pulse is difficult to palpate. 

Access and service roads are an important cost to factor into the budget. It is of utmost importance to be able to reach each pump station, valve chamber, choke station, and emergency pond and to be able to drive around a tailings dam. In large mines, these access roads are sometimes 20 m (60 ft) wide in order to accommodate heavy machinery. 

Data from ACCESS suggest that granulomatous skin involvement develops more commonly than other new organ involvement within the first two years of the diagnosis of sarcoidosis [13/215 (6%)] (30). Although not subjected to statistical analysis, these ACCESS data suggested that new onset skin involvement was more common in African Americans than Caucasians [10/93 (10.7%) versus 3/117 (2.6%)]. 

Apo CmtR is thought to be conformationally flexible, with mie of these accessible conformations being responsible for DNA binding. However, on binding Cd(II) this flexibility is dramatically reduced, locking the CmtR homodimer in a conformation that is unable to bind to DNA resulting in dissociation from the DNA in a similar fashion to CadC [21],... 

Video and keyboard interfaces are used during commissioning, testing and maintenance of each trip unit, field unit and control unit of the I C architecture. These access points should be available only to authorised personnel.
