The material in this section can be found in many textbooks and monographs. Our treatment follows that in [1,2 and 3]. 

Block copolymer chemistry and architecture is well described in polymer textbooks and monographs [40]. The block copolymers of PSA interest consist of anionically polymerized styrene-isoprene or styrene-butadiene diblocks usually terminating with a second styrene block to form an SIS or SBS triblock, or terminating at a central nucleus to form a radial or star polymer (SI) . Representative structures are shown in Fig. 5. For most PSA formulations the softer SIS is preferred over SBS. In many respects, SIS may be treated as a thermoplastic, thermoprocessible natural rubber with a somewhat higher modulus due to filler effect of the polystyrene fraction. Two longer reviews [41,42] of styrenic block copolymer PSAs have been published. 

The various aspects of applied electrochemistry have been discnssed in detail in numerous textbooks and monographs, both general and specialized, hi the present chapter we provide only a brief outline characterizing the main areas of indnstrial electrolytic processes together with their economic and scientific valne.

Nonparametric statistics (NPS) differs primarily from its traditional, distribution-based counterpart by dealing with data of unknown probability distributions. Its principal attractiveness lies, in fact, in not requiring the knowledge of a probability distribution. NPS is especially inviting when the assumption of normal distribution of small data sets is hazardous (if at all admissible), even if NPS-based calculations are more time consuming than in traditional statistics. The steadily growing importance of NPS has been amply demonstrated by numerous textbooks and monographs published within the last few decades, e.g. [1-7],...

Jean-Paul Sartre is reported to have said 1 shall die twice the first time physically, and the second time when no one shall read my works. Mikhail Temkin will live a long, long second life, as his name will remain known by new generations of kineticists who will not even need to read the original writings, since the main ideas of Temkin are already in all textbooks and monographs on heterogeneous catalysis.
