The NADH is produced in stoichiometric amormts and has an absorption coefficient of 6.3 m mol cm at 340 nm. Kits are available that contain all the reagents and instructions (for example, see http // www.r-biopharm.com/. AOAC Intemational (Association of Official Analytical Chemists) also has an index of rapid test kits http //www.aoac.org/testkits/tkdata8. htm). 

The samples were prepared by adding 100 grams of plastic sample to 600 grams of mature soil compost in a 5-liter glass jar. The mature compost, 2-3 months old, had a pH of 8.7, ash content of 35%, and Carbon/Nitrogen (C/N) ratio of 10. The C/N ratio was calculated based upon carbon dioxide and ammonia measurements taken with the Sol vita instrument on the compost at the beginning of the test. Solvita is an easy-to-use test that measures both carbon dioxide (CO2) and ammonia (NH3) levels in the soil and also indicates a Maturity Index value. The index is useful for maturity level of the compost soil (Solvita Test Kit 2013). The blank compost had a Solvita overall maturity index of 7... 

The ETV process promotes these technologies implementation for the benefit of purchasers, permitters, vendors, and the public. If ETV is used, EPA would utilize the Environmental and Sustainable Technology Evaluations (ESTE) element of the ETV program because the development of the test kits is in support of this final rule, and the ESTE element was created in 2005 to address the agency s priorities such as rule making. Cells were lysed and caspase-3 activity was measured by caspase-3 colorimetric assay kit (R D Systems). Enzymatic products were measured at 405 nm with BIOTEK EL340 ELISA microplate reader (BIO-TEK Instrument Inc., Vermont). Human recombinant caspase-3 (5 U) (Calbiochem, California) was used as a positive control. The stimulation index was determined by direct comparison to the level of the normal control. Background readings from cell lysates and buffers were substracted from the readings of both induced and uninduced samples samples before calculating the stimulation index in caspase-3 activity. The differences between control and treated groups were assessed by Student s i-test. P < 0.05 P < 0.001 (Z2).

Most routine immunoassay methods for determining FT4 and FT3 concentrations in serum are estimates. These approaches are often more convenient and less expensive than reference methods, and most are available commercially m kit form and on automated immunoassay instruments. Two test strategies are used for estimating the concentrations of free hormones indirect index methods and direct immunoassays.
