Subordinated exposures

In plain autonomous ecosystems the fluxes of sodium are less 40 g/ha/yr and those of Mg are less than 10 g/ha/yr. For iron these values are close to 1 g/ha/yr, and for all heavy metals, are between 0.01 and 0.04 g/ha/yr. In the geochemically subordinate landscapes (Naloxylon ammodendron and Ephedra przewalskii ecosystems) which receive additional moisture and chemical elements, the biogeochemical exposure fluxes are 360-912 g/ha/yr for Mg and Na, and from 0.44 to 6.65 g/ha/yr for heavy metals. In the periphery of the Gobi desert, Anabasis brevifloria and Graminaceae Dry Desert ecosystems show the overall increase of biogeochemical fluxes. The turnover for some elements (Mg, V, Cr) rises but slightly in comparison to their turnover in Extra-Dry ecosystems, whereas the turnover for other elements (Sr, Zn, Cu) increases several times. 

In its review, the IOM emphasized the subordinate clause of Section 3 of Public Law 102-4 that directeditto determine whether a statistical association exists between herbicide exposure and health effects. How looking for statistical associations differs from a scientific review isn t entirely clear, but the IOM points out that it did not examine the data for evidence of causality, as is common in scientific reviews. 18... 

The panelists recommended several improvements to the organization and presentation of the profile. Most importantly, the panelists thought the Health Effects chapter should subordinate information on route of exposure to discussions on endpoints. They also recommended that this chapter of the profile include syntheses of information using a weight-of-evidence approach to develop conclusions. ATSDR agreed to make these and other improvements to the presentation of information in the profile. 

At the national level, the General Monitoring Network of air quality (GMN), established in 1985, is the largest one. It is subordinated to the SSI and operated by its provincial (or local) branches. Its main purpose is to supply information on population exposure to air pollutants for the needs of the National Health Programme. Data are also used for environmental policy purposes. Stations belonging to the network are also a part of lower level monitoring systems - the collected data are used both at the local and voivodship level. In 1997 the network consisted of 506 stations, located in cities above 20 thousand inhabitants and in health resorts. The basic monitored pollutants are SO2, NO2, black smoke and TSP. In total, 37 pollutants (from 1 to 19 compounds at each station) were monitored in 1997. Almost exclusively manual 24-hr measurements are carried out at the stations. The network is supervised by the Nofer Institute of Occupational Medicine (since 1992 till 1999), which is responsible for QA/QC, data collection, assessment and reporting.

A male s age and size significantly affects its success in aggressive encounters and, potentially, in mate choice (Huntingford et al. 1995 Sneddon et al. 1997 Smallegange and van der Meer 2007). Exposure to pheromones, in turn, also affects male-male aggressive encounters (Sneddon et al. 2003 Fletcher and Hardege 2009). 

In addition to debt, there may be unrated subordinated—or equity—interests issued. Although the equity interest in a CDO is structured like a bond, it does represent the residual interest in the CDO vehicle its return is variable and linked to the residual value of the collateral pool after all debt liabilities have been extinguished. Given that the equity resides in the first loss position, it carries the greatest risk and warrants the highest return—and represents a leveraged exposure to the asset class.
