The formation of characteristic structural aggregates vertic structure ) is an additional soil forming process in Vertisols. This typical structure may occur in most of the solum but has its strongest expression in the vertic horizon the grade of development and the sizes of peds change only gradually with depth. 

In the course of further work on characterizing the MCC sols it was found that the CCC of a variety of salts varied both with the solids content and temperature. Investigation of these parameters forms the basis of the study. It will be shown that as a result of particle shape, concentration and surface characteristics, coagulation leads to a gel-like structure. On further addition of salt the coagulated gel-like structure aggregates into floes that are irreversible. In this paper, we outline the experimental parameters which lead to these phenomena and present some possible explanations.

Electron microscopic analyses of isolated preparations of fish actomyosin denatured by frozen storage (68,72-74) showed that actomyosin filaments with arrowhead structures aggregated side-to-side and crosswise when thawed immediately after freezing. As time of frozen storage increased further aggregations formed network structures (Figure 3).
