Examples of naturally occurring molecular machines and motors are already known. Proteins are the workhorses of cellular biology, performing functions such as transportation, communication, and structural maintenance. Some of these proteins have moving parts and act exactly like small machines.

Sister chromatid cohesion is primarily established by the cohesin complex (23). The cohesin complex is a multiprotein complex that contains the structural maintenance of chromosomes (SMC) family of proteins (24). SMC proteins contain the Walker A motif at their N-termini and the Walker B motif at their C-termini (Fig. 2a). These motifs are brought together by an intramolecular coiled-coil domain to form a functional ATPase domain, which is similar to other ATP-binding cassette (ABC) ATPases, such as RAD50 (25). Inorganic ions, both cationic and anionic, are used as structural units to form bone and other hard structures. Maintenance of cell membranes and DNA structure also depends on the presence of cations to balance charges in the organic portions. 

Several lines of evidence indicate that MPF-catalyzed phosphorylation also plays a role in chromosome condensation and formation of the mitotic spindle apparatus. For instance, genetic experiments in the budding yeast S. cerevisiae identified a family of SMC (structural maintenance of chromosomes) proteins that are required for normal chromosome segregation. These large proteins (-1200 amino acids) contain characteristic ATPase domains at their C-termlnus and long regions predicted to participate in colled-coll structures. 

The quality assurance program, whether the normal effort or with special items added by the client, is a major ancillary cost. The usual overhead costs of items such as management, structures, maintenance, employee benefits, and taxes always must be considered. Special costs may be invoked by studies to test or improve methods of purification and measurement, explain unanticipated results, or answer questions that arise during a project.

Successful structural maintenances and reconstructions of load-carrying structures of existing buildings and construction works are possible when their survival probability degrees are made more accurate. Their revision may be based on the principle of service-proven extreme actions. Action effects caused by extreme service and climate loads help engineers revise reliability indices of particular members (sections, bars, coimections) for which the only possible failure mode exists and structural members (beams, slabs, columns) consisted of two and more particular components.
