Stability program laboratory controls

Laboratory Control System This includes laboratory test methods, stability program, and analytical method validation. [Pg.326]

For foodstuff matrices, the use of PFA labware and H2O2 reagent improved the conventional analytical parameters (LoDs, level of blanks, stability, recovery rate, and also the speed of analyses. The quantification of lead at low concentration was possible down to 9 pig kg-1, whereas in the recent past the LoD in the same laboratory was at about 35 pig kg-1, thus making participation in the previous FAPAS S7R40 PT impossible. Thanks to the improved procedure, more parameters of quality control could be integrated in the program, that is, recovery rate is calculated for each run of sample and this without lengthening analysis time. [Pg.16]

Quality Control Data. Data obtained from assays of blood gas and pH control materials may be handled in the same way as data from other clinical chemistry determinations (i.e., mean, SD, and coefficient of variation, and control and confidence limits for construction of Levey-Jennings plots). As stability of commercial aqueous control materials is generally several months, vendors often provide data reduction programs that standardize and simplify documentation. However, the resulting reports are temporally delayed and are most useful for meeting accreditation requirements as opposed to real-time corrective or preventive action. They are however useful to compare long-term performances with other laboratories. Equally important features of quality assurance to an active blood gas service are the sixth sense of practiced operators for detecting subtle manifestations of deterioration of instrument performance and the suspicion of trouble expressed by clinicians. [Pg.1012]

There are at least three areas of concern that each laboratory head faces as he or she considers switching from the current bioassays using the natural substrates to ones employing synthetic peptide substrates. The first is how does one report results so that the physicians will be able to relate to them. The second is the observation that different results have been reported on the stability of standard enzyme preparations when tested by both procedures. The third is the quality control programs for the synthetic substrates. [Pg.132]

Fonr instrnments were deployed in unmanned sites, where they monitored VOCs in natural waters and wastewater during a period exceeding one year for each instrument The instruments were equipped with software that facilitated the automatic operation of each analysis, the identification and quantitation of VOCs from the raw mass spectra, and the transmission of the results to a remote control room via internet connection. In the remote control room, a personal computer with dedicated software displayed the results as bar graphs and was programed to activate alarms when set concentration thresholds were exceeded. Laboratory performance in terms of sensitivity, reproducibility, linearity tests, and comparison with P T/GC/MS together with field performance in terms of data output, most frequent maintenance operations and technical failures, and overall stability of the four remotely-controlled instruments are discussed. [Pg.494]

Laboratory standards required are also controlled by quality programs. In particular, the stability testing of materials for safety testing in animals is controlled by the GLP regulations. The testing of materials for registration of final products is performed under the GMP regulations that apply to materials made in full-scale production. [Pg.3635]
