This area is 20 km northeast of Poti, to the West Chaladidi anticline of the Pontain-Meotian (Miocene) sediments. It is in the lower part of the above-mentioned Ochamchire-Kulevi block (3), near the south border of (III) the intermountain cavity zone, at the southwest edge of the Poti-Abedati and the Senaki-Tsaishi. On the Poti-Abedati fail line the Abedati, Nokalakevi and the Eki mountain over thrust sheet folds are displayed intermittently, which corresponds to the lower structural floor disjunctive break zones [9]. On the mentioned fail line, from the northeast to southwest, the relocation of epicentres of the Samegrelo earthquake (1941) is specified. 

Twenty-five million years ago, after a quiet interlude, North America s western continental arc awoke, and its abundant volcanos again added new rock to the continent from British Columbia to Texas and down the mountainous spine of Mexico. The only area in the Southwest in which volcanos were uncommon was the Colorado Plateau, whose immunity to the tectonic forces around it is still a mystery. Around the borders of the Colorado Plateau s remarkably thick crust, one volcanic catastrophe after another covered the land. In this time the San Juan mountains were formed in Colorado. As the numbers of Mexican immigrants began to increase, especially in the border towns of the southwest, they were the object of close scrutiny by the townsfolk. Suspicious and often resentful of these newcomers, the townspeople humiliated, harassed, and abused them to make them feel as unwelcome as possible. When the Mexicans lashed back at their tormentors, their actions were often attributed to the influence of marihuana, which to many Americans symbolized the Mexican presence in America. 

The abuse of the drag is noted among the Latin-American or Spanish-speaking population. The sale of cannabis cigarettes occurs to a considerable degree in States along the Mexican border and in cities of the Southwest and West, as well as in New York, and, in fact, wherever there are settlements of Latin Americans.

Rocks of Precambrian age are exposed about 800 m (0.5 mi) east of the site in a northeast-southwest upfaulted block or horst about 300 m (980 ft) wide. On August 2, 1990, Iraqi forces crossed the border into Kuwait. I was at Camp Lejune, North Carolina, and was informed that I would not be returning to my reserve unit but instead would be sent to theatre with an active unit. Instead, I was sent back to my unit in Crosslanes, West Virginia. I had serious doubts that I would finish my degree at Marshall University, at least that semester. Thrust back to a reserve unit preparing for deployment to Southwest Asia was exciting and scary at the same time.
