Smart money

The majority of investors are herd animals who follow the smart money. Every private deal I have ever done ultimately came together when a lead investor emerged who could drive the other investors into the offering corral. Put another way, most investors will board the funding train only when they know it is about to leave the station without them. 

After you have completed that phase successfully, you are probably ready for the exit. That is where having smart money is critical. You want to have the right people on your team to negotiate the best outcome. When you have a clear mission, a committed team of trustworthy people with a sense of urgency, a culture that allows and forces people to face reality and take corrective actions, and effective execution skills, then the sky is the limit you can achieve great accomplishments. So, take charge and go for it ...

By dialing a preprogrammed number, people will be able to change the temperature in the house, the voltage applied by an implanted medical device, or the way money is transferred from one bank to another. The possibilities are endless. 

Resources are not only about the money. They are about being smart in how you align and allocate than. Align resources with priorities—focus on what matters most.
