The kinetics of the alkaline decompn of the subject compd was studied by Jones (Ref 3) Simkins Wright (Ref 4) prepd the compd by different methods and detd irs expl props, which are as follows 1) comparable to Tetryl in expl props 2) FI - 78% of Picric Acid 3) power by Trauzl test 136% of PA 4) Decomp w/o ignition at 205°, but ignites at once at 350° 5) decompd... 

Tn recent years, developing interests in surface energetics and adhesion of liquid-like polymers, or polymer liquids, have prompted both theoretical and experimental work on surface tension. Unlike low molecular weight liquids, polymer liquids have not been extensively studied. Bondi and Simkin (1) mentioned surface tension in their study on high molecular weight liquids. Roe (28) applied both the cell theory of polymer liquids and the hole theory of surface tension of simple liquids to develop an approximate theory of surface tensions of polymer liquids. His approach has met some degree of success. Notably, both Bondi s and Roes work are somewhat related to the cell theory introduced by Prigogine and... 

The Cebus monkey is described not to possess uricase (Simkin 1971) and to have different metabolic conditions for uric acid than other experimental animals. This species is chosen for special studies of anti-uricopathic drugs since it resembles more closely human uric acid metabolism.

In an extensive clinical study of 159 people, pulse, blood pressure, and electrocardiograms were monitored in 16 of the individuals taking about 3 mg/kg/day (Simkins 1937a, 1937b). No abnormal electrocardiographic tracings were found, but bradycardia was observed in two cases. Blood pressure was reduced in 10 formerly hypertensive patients, but no blood pressure changes were found in normotensive individuals.
