Section Grouping

The material is organized in sections grouped according to the central atom of the attacking nucleophile. The coverage is not exhaustive, but hopefully representative of recent developments and trends. [Pg.426]

In this section, group transfer reactions in which the product molecule A-B is vibrationally excited but still in its ground electronic state are considered. (Transfer reactions that produce electronic excitation are discussed in Section 3.4.) The available experimental evidence is tabulated. Only typical examples are described. The principal points discussed are the limitations that experimental technique has imposed on observation and interpretation of this type of chemi-excitation and the extraction of generalizations concerning this class of reaction. [Pg.118]

The second section groups chapters that are case studies of specific sedimentary environments and focus on environmental factors that influence the behavior of sulfur in the formation of sediments and fossil fuels. [Pg.6]

This section groups together a limited number of diastereoselective syntheses of carbaoxirose and carbaoxetose (4.1), as well as several approaches to ring-expanded carbaseptanose (4.2) and carbaoctanose (4.3) derivatives. [Pg.490]

This last section groups together a number of contributions in the field of carbasugar synthesis which, for reasons of space, could not be dealt with in detail in various sections of the text. For the readers comfort, the publications have been sorted into two tables Table 1 lists reviews and accounts about chemistry and biology of carbasugars and Table 2 enumerates recent reaserch papers focusing on the synthesis of variously-sized carbocyclic carbasugars. [Pg.505]

In order to render the chapter sufficiently self-contained, the reader will find a theory and methodology section immediately following this introduction (Sect. 2). Literature covering a broad range of applications is reviewed in the subsequent sections, grouped by topics as follows. Section 3 Benchmarks of functionals and basis sets, small molecule test cases. Section 4 Beyond gas phase and static structures. Section 5 (mainly) Assignment of absolute configuration case studies. Section 6 Analysis methods for chiroptical properties. Section 7 Case studies where a variety of methods was used to probe ECD,... [Pg.3]

The present volume contains over 200 syntheses, presented in 68 numbered sections grouped into nine chapters that correspond for the most part to... [Pg.440]

Drug family articles form the other component of the A-Z Section. Groupings of agents are described in some 300 short articles, each with references to further reading. Family grouping is by mechanism (e.g. P-adrenoceptor antagonists) as well as by clinical application (e.g. antihypertensive agents) these cross-references are in BOLD SMALL CAPS. [Pg.346]

All labeling is based upon a thorough understanding of the basic properties of the subject product. These properties fall into three groups (1) physical-chemical (2) human-biological and (3) environmental. In this section groups one and two are examined. [Pg.87]

C which interconvert at higher temperatures over a barrier of 8.3 0.1 kcal mol". Detailed studies of the dynamic behaviour of the cyclo-octatetraene complexes have been reported previously (see ref. 39) and are discussed in the next section (Group VII). [Pg.416]

The Chemical Abstracts Service categorizes the whole field of chemistry and chemical engineering into 5 Section Groupings and a total of 80 Subject Sections Sections 1 to 34 are included in CA issues with odd numbers (Fig. 13), Sections 35 to 80 in each even-numbered issue (Fig. 14). [Pg.21]
