Section 10.4 Bagging Machines

This chapter considers process vessels (such as reflux drums, KO pots, columns) in Section 10.1, and storage tanks in Section 10.2. Bins and hoppers for the storage and delivery of solids are considered in Section 10.3. Bagging machines are discussed in Section 10.4. 

The VR-75 RRIM machine made by Accuratio Systems, Inc. (ASI) was used in this study, and a chromium polished steel mold (220 x 293 x 3 mm) with an aftermixer section was also used. Since the BAG section was to be run as two separate entities, a development factory and a production works, and a third independent factory for BSA was now also proposed, it became necessary to install three goods and machinery lifts instead of the one already planned, which greatly increased costs. The number of dryers and the auxiliary equipment used in a dryer section depend on the particular grade to be produced and the speed of the machine. Up to 70 cylinders may be used in a Kraft dryer section 50-55 would be adequate for a typical newsprint or fine paper dryer section.
