Scouring pads

Many other products, such as rug cleaners, automobile cleaners, scouring pads, and pel care products incorporate synthetic detergents. 

The poly(vinylidene chloride-cu-vinylchloride) may be injection molded and extruded. Extruded pipe and molded fittings which were produced in large quantity in the 1940s have been replaced to some extent by less expensive thermoplastics. A llal extruded filament is used for scouring pads and continuous extruded circular filament is used for the production of insect screening, filter clothes, fishing nets and automotive seat covers. 

Some people use a green scouring square, found in the kitchen on their glassware. These are wonderful in scratching off dirt, contamination, glass, and porcelain. These should not be used in the kitchen or the laboratory. Any scrubber that is identified as Teflon safe should be used in either the kitchen or the laboratory. There is a yellow scouring pad from the Arden Corporation that is Teflon safe and that is particularly abrasive to dirt and leaves glass and porcelain untouched.

Consequently, major markets for these products are modular floor panels, caravan manufacture, insulated building panels, kitchen scouring pads and sound-insulation materials along with Automotive applications such as upholstery, door trims and head linings. 

Assemble the transfer sandwich Scotch Brite pad (or equivalent scouring pad), three layers of Whatman 3MM paper, the gel, the membrane (nitrocellulose, nylon, or Immobilon-P—the latter has to be prewetted in methanol), three layers of 3MM paper, and another Scotch Brite pad. Transfer gel-fractionated proteins electrophoretically to a membrane under conditions that have been experimentally determined to be best for the protein of interest. With a Bio-Rad Trans-Blot apparatus, transfer of a 60-kDa protein can be accompUshed using 60 V for 1 hr. 

Fig. 95 shows the bonding of scouring pads here the thermoplastic film is heat reactivated by blowing hot air or by infrared radiation. Fig. 96 shows the bonding of two materials in roll form.

Steel wool scouring pads normally contain soap, with perhaps a small amount of another anionic or nonionic surfactant present.
