Results evaluation

Evaluation of the results Evaluation of the results consists of (i) technical scrutiny of the consistency and of the quality of the data the acceptance, on technical (not statistical) grounds, of data to be used to calculate the certified value and its uncertainty, (2) the calculation (using the appropriate statistical techniques) of the certified value and its uncertainty. The approach indudes technical discussion of the results among all cooperators, rejection of outliers, statistical evaluation, and calculation of the certified value and uncertainties. [Pg.59]

The inverses can be found with a table of transforms and the results evaluated numerically. [Pg.452]

There is an urgent need for SOCAR to conduct a risk analysis of its gas management responsibilities and, as a result, evaluate what it should spend on measures, including me use of storage, to mitigate me risks of reduced production. [Pg.60]

Whereas the criteria (i) enantioselectivity, (ii) amount of product obtained per amount of catalyst used, and (iv) substrate specificity are of a quantitative nature, the point (iii) availability (though not cost) of a catalyst is only a semi-quantita-tive criterion, and (v) comparison of a method with alternative strategies is even redundant, as the process of comparison of options and their resulting evaluation and ranking are merely different parts of the decision-making process, and are not undertaken in parallel with performance measurements along dimensions of merit. [Pg.573]

The most data-intensive approaches are those which evaluate the risk associated with a biomonitoring result. Evaluation of risk may be a desirable outcome, given the importance of the How risky is this blood concentration question and the fact that the descriptive approaches only provide relative information and do not assess risk. Figure 5-2 illustrates the various risk-based options discussed in the report. [Pg.160]

The workers using it must be health-screened quarterly by a competent medical authority. The level of MOCA in the urine has to be tested and the results evaluated by a competent physician in this field. [Pg.201]

Prepare investigation report containing all results, evaluations, conclusions, and path forward. [Pg.404]

This result, evaluated for layer i as well as layer i 4- 1, can in turn be used in eqns. (216)—(218) to evaluate the net growth rate of any inner layer i. [Pg.85]

The values of the electrode standard potentials were obtained by measuring the EMF s of suitably arranged cells at varying concentrations and by extrapolating the found values into a state of infinitely diluted solutions in which the activity coefficients of electromotively active substances equal unity. To determine standard potentials is very laborious and requires considerable care. A detailed description of the working method and the method of results evaluation is beyond the limits of this book it is, therefore, necessary to refer to the pertinent technical literature" ... [Pg.88]

The selection of an analytical technique and the development of procedures and operating conditions are only one part of the process for achieving reliable measurements. Among the first steps of the validation figure the assessment of the method precision this parameter must be assessed between analysts and days. Appropriate precision, although necessary for reliable work, is not sufficient to guarantee accurate results Evaluation of sample matrix effect, development, and analysis of spiked samples, analysis of Certified Reference Materials (CRM) of similar composition for which the Pb concentration has been established by other laboratories and comparison of results between laboratories (proficiency testing) are equally important [13]. [Pg.13]

The observed almost universal value of the surface fractal dimension ds 2.6 of furnace blacks can be traced back to the conditions of disordered surface growth during carbon black processing. It compares very well to the results evaluated within the an-isotropic KPZ-model as well as numerical simulations of surface growth found for random deposition with surface relaxation. This is demonstrated in some detail in [18]. [Pg.19]

All epidemiological studies should be critically evaluated with respect to research design (especially in relation to study purposes), methods, analysis, and interpretation of results. Evaluation requires all aspects of the epidemiological method to be weighed carefully, as shown in Box 2-2. [Pg.73]

Printing inks and wood fillers also take advantage of light curing. A1(OI I)-, is the usual choice in this application. Materials were cured by a mercury lamp and results evaluated by differential photocalorimetry and UV-visible spectroscopy. The sample weight and amount of filler were the essential variables. Addition of filler increased UV cure rate. At a low filler concentration (13.2%) the rate was only... [Pg.331]

Part II and Part III are the main parts of the book describing the achieved results, evaluations, and transfer still going on. So, the graph for this part contains all the nodes down to sections. [Pg.77]

Validation of models such as the second-order and multireaction model requires model parameters to be estimated independently. Such a validation should be carried out prior to model adoption for prediction of retention and mobility of heavy metals in soils. This validation is also necessary for the use of a model for different soils and for a wide range of conditions. This requirement is not always achieved because independent parameters are not often available, however. As a result, evaluation of a model is sometimes restricted to goodness of fit of the model results to experimental measurements. [Pg.208]

Part I covers preparation for hazard evaluation studies. Identification methods and results, evaluation techniques, followup considerations, and future research and development Part II contains worked examples. [Pg.135]
