Responsibility full-time work

The Government has also extended conditionality to partners and spouses of the JSA unemployed with no childcare responsibilities. These joint claim provisions apply to any partner bom after 1957, who is now required to be available for full time work, meet regular job search obligations and, when eligible, enter a New Deal. This change aims to end the assumption of spouse dependency in the system. 

Figure 8.1 shows the number and proportion of professional and administrative staff responsible for registration, and the equivalent number of full-time personnel. For part-timers, if there are no data on the amount of work-time, it has been assumed that they work half-time (0.5). For Cypms and Zimbabwe, where staff perform multiple functions, the total numbers of staff have been used. 

Sam Ruben was a very charismatic man, and I got along well with him. Probably because I was truly full time, with no other responsibilities of any kind, he called on me for gofer work at all hours, and, like so many people, I admired him greatly. 

Written procedures should be established assigning responsibility for sanitation and describing the cleaning schedules, methods, equipment, and materials to be used in cleaning buildings and facilities. Such written procedures should be followed. Sanitation procedures should apply to work performed by contractors or temporary employees as well as work performed by full-time employees during the ordinary course of operations. 

C. The CHO for the organization. This person could be the head of the Health and Safety department or the chairperson of the chemical hygiene committee. However, neither of these persons would normally be able to devote full time to this work and it is a critical, full-time position. The responsibility may be delegated to another person, most probably in the health and safety organization. The chemical hygiene committee should function to define policies and provide oversight of the program, while the health and safety staff should provide the daily operational support. Part 7 of the Exclusions Guidance LEA Responsibility to E rovide Full-Time Education and Re-integrate Permanently Excluded Pupils (DfES, 2004) is a useful document for schools as it outlines the role of the local education authority (LEA), pupil referral units and other provision for permanently excluded pupils. The DfES will publish guidance on the role of remove rooms and the inspection of LSUs in 2006. There is helpful information on reintegration, planning, panels, steps towards successful placements, transition issues and work with colleges of further education (FE). 

To enforce the regulations a small but experienced group of 81 factory inspectors work full-time on construction within the Factory Inspectorate. Within this group is a more qualified staff recruited from the industry. The inspectors are assisted by a specialized civil engineering branch, and other specialists at headquarters are also available to them, including the employment medical advisers. The size of the Inspectorate is closely bound up with its role, and it would be wrong for any inspectorate to be regarded as a substitute for the proper assumption of responsibility for safety by the industry itself, in co-operation with the unions and with the help of employers associations and voluntary bodies.
