These two examples highlight the importance of the originator s ability to service the receivables pool effectively and, as such, avoid a rapid deterioration in the performance of the collateral. An originator that follows strict credit underwriting procedures and has experienced staff servicing accounts that enter a state of delinquency...

The potential advantages of LPG concern essentially the environmental aspects. LPG s are simple mixtures of 3- and 4-carbon-atom hydrocarbons with few contaminants (very low sulfur content). LPG s contain no noxious additives such as lead and their exhaust emissions have little or no toxicity because aromatics are absent. This type of fuel also benefits often enough from a lower taxation. In spite of that, the use of LPG motor fuel remains static in France, if not on a slightly downward trend. There are several reasons for this situation little interest from automobile manufacturers, reluctance on the part of automobile customers, competition in the refining industry for other uses of and fractions, (alkylation, etherification, direct addition into the gasoline pool). However, in 1993 this subject seems to have received more interest (Hublin et al., 1993).

Having received the pre-weighed test item, preparation for its use in the field must be made. Ideally, water to be used in the dilution of the test item should be from mains water or a recognized source. The use of water from standing pools, rivers, etc., could potentially lead to problems with interference from contaminants during analysis of the crop samples. Depending on the formulation under test, the test item can be mixed in a variety of ways. First, the required water volume must be accurately measured. Approximately half of this amount can be poured into a clean bucket or similar mixing container. The temperature of the water should be noted at this point... 

There are a number of solutions that have been proposed to address the limitations on throughput in PK assays, including cassette dosing [37], where typically five compounds are dosed in a mixture, pooling of plasma samples from multiple animals receiving a specific dose, or the cassette-accelerated rapid rat screen where the processing of samples is streamlined [38]. 

In the evaluation of HDI for high-risk MM, data from a pooled analysis of four major clinical trials that randomized patients to either HDI or observation recently became available. The results showed improved relapse-free survival, with an approximate 10% reduction in the risk of recurrence, but no effect on overall survival in patients receiving HDI.48 A pooled analysis of several high-dose IFN trials and a trial comparing HDI with vaccine (E1694) also confirmed a reduction in the risk of recurrence with HDI without significant improvement in overall survival.49,50... 

The kinetic expressions in Eqs. (134) and (136) take into account the initial burst of drug into the receiver and the possibility of cell-associated drug within a slow kinetic pool which is determined at t = °°. 

Oils The n-alkane series Cg-C, toluene and cyclohexane were purchased from BDH, Poole, UK, each with a stated purity of 99% reagents were used as received. Crude oil samples were obtained from two North Sea fields one located in the Norwegian sector and the other from the UK sector. Stock tank oil from the Gullfaks field was supplied by Statoil, Norway and the other stock tank oil from an undisclosed source. Both crude oils are derived from sandstone formations with reservoir temperatures of 70° and 101°C respectively.

Nevertheless, this study had several limitations. Initial doses were not well tolerated because of exceedence of the Maximum Tolerated Dose (MTD) as indicated by excessive deaths. Doses were reduced 17-33% from initial doses once or twice during the experiment. During the final 75 days of treatment, high dose males received chlordecone on alternative weeks only. Doses above the MTD were used for 42-386 days. An unusually high mortality rate occurred in control animals also, and only pooled controls were used in this bioassay.
