Ready to mix

Stars of the only two compositions which are well approved. Take of powder (gunpowder) four ounces, of saltpeter two ounces, of sulfur two ounces, of camphor half an ounce, of steel filings two treseaux, of white amber half an ounce, of antimony (sulfide) half an ounce, of (corrosive) sublimate half an ounce. For double the efficacy it is necessary to temper all these powders with gum agragante dissolved in brandy over hot cinders. To avoid confusion, it is necessary to note the following popular usage of well-known descriptions (i) Cacao refers to the plant Theobroma cacao L., (ii) Cocoa refers to the beans and to the product made from them which is ready to mix into a beverage and to its use as a powdered flavoring material or in the making of a chocolate beverage, and (iii) Chocolate refers to the solid product based on ground roasted cocoa beans. 

Aluminum Mixing Varnish n Any of the vehicles for aluminum paste or powder which have the property of causing the metallic flakes of the pigment to leaf or float, and that retains this property for an indefinite period of time. They are characterized by low acid number, usually less than 15 but in some specifications, the acid number is required to be less than 7. Ready mixed aluminum vehicles are those that are made without lead drier, used in factory prepared paints, and capable of retention of excellent leafing properties for very long periods of time. Ready-to-mix aluminum vehicles are mixed with aluminum paste or powder, and used within a few hours at the job site. Vehicles... 

Injection Mixes Injection mixes contain fine powders, which are injected by double-piston pumps. The pressure employed for injection is in the range of 1-20 MPa. These mixes are available in two forms—one that is ready-to-mix or one that must be mixed on site. Grouting mix is an example of an injection mix. It is injected through the steel jacket of a blast furnace and fills the gap between the jacket and the adjacent brick work to increase the cooling efficiency. 

Aqua regia mix 3 parts of concentrated HCl and 1 part of concentrated HNO3 just before ready to use. 

Plastic Refractories and Ramming Mixes. Plastic refractories are mixtures of refractory grains and plastic clays or plasticizers with water. Ramming mixes may or may not contain clay and are generally used with forms or steel work. The amount of water used in these products varies but is held to a minimum to faciUtate drying. Plastics are generally suppHed in a ready-to-use state. 

Colestipol granules The prescribed dose must be mixed in liquids, soup, cereals, carbonated beverages, or pulpy fruits. The granules will not dissolve. Therefore, when mixing widi a liquid, slowly stir die preparation until ready to drink. Take the entire drug, rinse die glass with a small amount of water, and drink. 

Several unit processes can be used in the washing process. The soil is mixed with washing agents and extraction agents that remove the contaminants from the soil and transfer them to the extraction fluid. The soil and washwater are then separated. The soil can be further rinsed with clean water. The soil is removed as clean product, ready to put back into the original excavation, and the washwater is ready to be treated by conventional wastewater treatment processes as addressed in the next subsection. 

Sample preparation consists of crushing some tablets, mixing with 50 50 methanol/water, diluting to the mark in a volumetric flask and then filtering off any insoluble excipients. We are now ready to go, and Fig. 4.2b (i) shows the results of the first injection. 

Currently, most commercially available DNA microarrays include spots that correspond to in vitro transcribed RNA from an unrelated organism (Yang, 2006). These RNAs can be either purchased as a ready-to-use mix or synthesized in vitro. 

Most plastics e.g. polyolefins and polystyrenes and their derivatives such as ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) and SAN (styrene-acrylonitrile) are supplied by the manufacturers in ready-to-use form with most of the above-mentioned stabilizers or simply need to be additionally stabilized with other additives, e.g. antistatic agents and HALS stabilizers, as required. On the other hand, in the case of other materials (e.g. PVC) it is the end user who adds the additives, pigments or preparations. This is normally done on fluid or high-speed mixers, although in the past gravity mixers or tumble mixers were also used. The mixture is then homogenized on mixing rolls, kneaders, planetary extruders or twin-screw kneaders and further processed.
