RAID program

Program Capabilities The NIH-RAID program is capable of performing all the necessary development tasks to support the submission of an INDA. A summary of the services is below. A complete listing can be found at the NIH-RAID website.

An alternative mechanism for preclinical development which is available to academic investigators is the Rapid Access to Intervention Development (RAID) program., This program is discussed in Section 3.2. 

Purpose T1D-RAID is a cooperative program of the NIDDK and NCI that is designed to facilitate translation to the clinic of novel, scientifically meritorious, therapeutic interventions for the treatment of Type-1 diabetes. The goal of T1D-RAID is to support the pre-clinical tasks needed for the clinical "proof of principle" to determine if a new molecule merits...

For the first time in my experience, the issue of intellectual property had become a bone of contention, as had the security of the records themselves. Fred discovered that these two young researchers had commandeered 150 volunteer charts. He recovered them by raiding their offices, and drew up a memo setting limits on such activity. Even so, when the Inspector General later reviewed the program, some 300 charts could not be located. 

This manner of door construction originated with the war-time provisional air raid shelter construction programs.88 It is no doubt clear that construction parts not produced to industrial standards would have resulted in inaccuracies. 

System backup and maintenance System backup is importantto recoverthe data when data got corrupted or lost due to various unforeseen events including human error. Storage disks with the RAID mechanism were used to protect data. The system was programmed to make incremental backups... 

The program used for this design work incorporates finite difference forms of the Reynolds and energy equations for the oil film, plus closed-form equations for the pressure and thermal distortions of the pad. These are all iteratively related, including factors to compensate for the carryover of heat from pad to pad. This program was first written in the raid 60 s and has been revised numerous times since then to incorporate advances in bearing analysis and to include empirical correction factors from test results. 

This plant at Edgewood turned out the AN-M54 incendiary bombs which were used in Lt. Col. James H. Doolittle s raid on Japan, 18 Apr 42. See (1) Ltr, Brig Gen T. H. Marshall to Hist Off, 24 Jan 54.
