Quick search

Make sure to pay a visit to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR). You can perform quick searches by clicking onto the first letter of a chemical listed. The web-site address is the following http //atsdr 1.atsdr.cdc.gov 8080/toxfaq.html. This site also provides some links to other sites with chemical specific information and health risk data. 

A quick search gives 254 images on alchemy (with some false drops), drawn from a wide range of sources. Each image has a description of its meaning (some quite detailed), although without source attributions. Eventually I will index the images. 

Regarding the multitude of NMR chemical shifts of specific compounds that are provided within the text, references for chemical shifts of individual compounds for the most part will not be cited. It is assumed that if such references are required, the reader can find them by a quick search using either MDL Crossfire Commander or SciFinder Scholar. The author found MDL Crossfire Commander the superior database for locating specific NMR data. 

For example, you might believe that Americans today work more hours and have less leisure time than at any other time in our history. There are probably statistics out there to support this assertion, but after a quick search on the Internet, you find nothing. Unless you re willing to put in more research time to find what you need, as strongly as you may feel about the idea, since you can t support it, you shouldn t include it. 

Quick search This is the fastest way to generate a query. Click the checkbox to select databank (s) — for example, EMBL for nucleotide sequences or SWISSPROT for amino acid sequences. Enter the query word(s), accession ID, or regular expression and then click the Go button to start the search.

Logging on to a computer database of the professional literature in the biomedical sciences allows you to do a quick search for key words in the titles of literally hundreds of thousands of papers. A search to see what titles have both evolution and vesicle in them comes up completely empty. Slogging through the literature the old-fashioned way turns up a few scattered papers that speculate on how gated transport... 

A quick search of the Internet will identify a number of EDMS solutions. Some may require a lot of customization to produce a package that will suit the requirements of your business. Others are particularly geared toward the pharmaceutical industry and have built in much more of the functionality required to meet GxP regulations. It is stiU almost certain that some customizations wiU be required, but as EDMS providers continue to improve their understanding of regulatory expectations (in particular, 21 CFR Part ID) and provide appropriate solutions, the lit with industry requirements will continue to improve. 

The TRIZ Journal is packed with resources, papers, and commentary. A quick search on the site for Separation Principles will yield some good information.

For the purposes of simplicity in these notes only the Basic Search is described. (Quick Search is also supported but offers less granular options than the other search types.)...
