So what happens when the pipeline is filled Two examples illustrate the features of quantitative and qualitative process approaches, and the following sections describe the corresponding models for... [Pg.23]

Qualitative process approaches to accelerated development target the activities involved with converting (or eliminating) the drug candidate through the various development stages within the pipeline. Using the same 12-month model as described for a quantitative pro-... [Pg.25]

For New Product Forecast, it is recommended to develop a formal process to understand in detail each new product introduction and define which forecast model (both quantitatively and qualitatively) is more appropriate for each new launch. Demand planning area should model forecast requirements for pipeline fill separately from pure consumer demand , in order to be able to track and compare forecast vs. actual demand in the different phases of the new product introduction in the market. It is also necessary to develop an information database that will provide information about past launches performance, data required to apply the different forecast models, etc. [Pg.167]

In this paper, we propose to model safety and security interdependencies for an industrial case study using the Boolean logic Driven Markov Processes (BDMP) formalism. The approach used in this paper was first introduced in [12] where it was illustrated on a pedagogical use case. In this paper we apply it on a realistic industrial case study taking into account the system architecture. We discuss in Section 2 the convergence of security and safety issues in industrial control systems and their possible interdependencies. We give in Section 3 an overview of the BDMP formalism and the associated KB3 platform. We explain in Section 4 the benefits of BDMP on a simple example where safety and security are in contradiction. We provide in Section 5 the description of a pipeline case study architecture, the associated BDMP model and give qualitative and quantitative results obtained from it. Section 6 concludes the paper and introduces future work. [Pg.327]
