To obtain a strong busbar mounting system, suitable to withstand the electrodynamic forces arising out of a system fault, modern practice is to make use of thermosetting plastics, such as DMC (Dough Moulding Compounds)...

A complete, trailer-mounted system costs between 35,000 and 38,000 (personal communication G. Nolan, GRS, Inc., 1997).

The test was run for a total of 100 hours. The preconverter was cycled back to room temperature and inspected at 5-hr intervals 19 times, with no failure detected in the mounting system. The ceramic substrate maintained its original position, the seals rigidized and remained attached to the mat, and the mat was not eroded. Given the low GTE of EX-22 substrate and the low temperature gradients in the close-coupled location, thermal durability did not pose a problem. 

A schematic of the 2kD system is shown in Figure 2. The title 2kT> is derived from the design capacity of 2k ton per day charcoal output.
