Use only explosion-proof, push-button control switches within such an area... 

You may have also seen monitors that are out of adjustment. Their pictures don t fill the screen (size adjustment), the images roll (vertical or horizontal hold), or they are distorted (angle and pincushion adjustments). With most new monitors this is an easy problem to fix. Old monitors had to be partially disassembled to change these settings. New monitors have push-button control panels for changing these settings. 

Panel Q also carries a number of..knobs fof adjustment of zero, calibration, and adjustment of.balance voltage for the galvanometers There are, moreover, two additional items which deserve -particular mention. One is the set of three (out, stop, and in) push button controls in the lower left corner for movement of the fission chamber. < The other, is the pair of alarm lights and reset buttons at the upper r.ight -hand corner-which work from phototube alarm circuits when any of the galvanometers go off scale. 

There are different types of medical robots. Early robots in hospitals were used to transport medical supplies and deliver drugs to doctors and nurses from the pharmacy. Engineers have significantly refined these robots. One of the newest versions, SpeciMinder, has a simple push-button control panel that allows lab technicians to select several destinations for the specimens. The SpeciMinder will calculate the most efficient route and stop at all assigned locations (see Figure 17-8). When finished, the robot wiU automatically return to its charging dock. 

Then with the focused transducer activated, the probe was scanned across the weld area, under push-button control, to detect the lower edge of the unfused land. This point was then used as a datum to which all subsequent transducer positions were referred. If the operator was satisfied with the quality of signals obtained the automatic scanning facility was introduced. Most functions necessary to select the transducer and digitise and store the ultrasonic data were then performed automatically under micro-processor control. The sequence of such operations was as follows ... 

The crane can only be operated by simultaneously depressing two separate push-button controls. Both these push-button controls are within one and the same control cabin. However, they are about 1 m apart from each other. 

In the factory the units are moved on pallets by forklift trucks. Two sides of the test enclosure comprise push-button controlled barriers which can be raised to permit truck ingress and exit. Limit switches on the barrier pedestals ensure the supply is off when either barrier is raised. There is also an internal safety barrier between the test panel and test piece which has a limit switch on its pedestal to switch off the supply when the tester raises the barrier for... 

If you click run, MATLAB will present you with a window similar to that shown in Figure 11.6. Click the Push-Button and you will notice that it is clickable. Nevertheless, the clicking event produces nothing. This is simply because we have not yet instructed MATLAB to do any action upon clicking the Push-Button control.

Suppose that we would like to calculate the ideal gas volume of a substance while inputting both the pressure in atmosphere units and the temperature in degrees Centigrade. Let us design a GUI that handles this. Details on how to add controls to a blank GUI and how to customize them are shown in Sec. 11.3. However, more features will be explored here that are not covered in the previous section. Figure 11.12 shows IG GUI populated with three Edit-Text controls, three Static Text controls, and one Push-Button control. The first two Edit Text boxes will be used for inputting temperature and pressure, and the third one for outputting the calculated molar volume (L/mol).

The cabinet also houses the push-button controls of numerous electrical mdors connected to pumps and blowers in the reactor s cooling system and ventilation system. Some of these motor controls are Interlocked using relay logic wtth the variables measured by channels in the cabinet, as well as with the controls in the console...
