Replacement of the phenyl group of anthranilic acid by a cycloalkene represents another strategy to obtain intellectual property. This endeavor resulted in three consecutive patent applications [73-75] and a publication [76]. The aim of this review paper is to give an extensive overview of the different promoters used to develop new or improved Co-based F-T catalysts. Special attention is directed towards a more fundamental understanding of the effect of the different promoter elements on the catalytically active Co particles. Due to the extensive open and patent literature, we have mainly included research publications of the last two decades in our review paper.In addition, we will limit ourselves to catalyst formulations composed of oxide supports, excluding the use of other interesting and promising support materials, such as, e.g., carbon nanofibers studied by the group of de Jong. ... 

Noth To date, none of the above groups has reported a calculation of steady-state spurious HO production relative to ambient HO production with a simple transport-free model, and none has implemented both real-time reference background measurement and real-time reference HO measurement. The averaging times listed alxjve are those displayed for ambient HO in recent publications. All of these methods are undergoing continuous improvement. 

ANTIBIOTICS POLYETHERS. The polvether antibiotics were first recognized as a separate class with the publication of the structure of monensin in 1967. Several members of the group have since found commercial application as anticoccidials in poultry farming and in improvement of feed efficiency for ruminants. 

Various polyamines have been synthesized and evaluated in the fabrication of the NS-100 type of membrane. These various compositions are described in the patent literature. Some of these efforts have involved polymeric amines containing only secondary amino groups to reach a goal of improved chlorine resistance. Whether any of them have reached commercial status cannot be determined because of the current trend to avoid publication of the compositions of new commercial reverse osmosis membranes.
