For instance, suppose you and your friend, Amy, are both interested in an administrative position at a small public relations firm. You ran a summer camp for children out of your backyard, while Amy spent her summer working as an administrative assistant at a large law firm. Even though the two of you may have developed similar organizational and interpersonal skills, Amy will be a more appealing candidate to a recruiter, simply because her office experiences will be perceived as a closer match for a job calling for "at least three months of administrative experience."... 

All disciplines are subject to economic climate. If employment slumps in one field, such as journalism, skill sets can often be easily and profitably applied to a related field, such as advertising or public relations. People and management and verbal skills translate well across industries, geography, and time.

Initial training time should be adequate to bring the knowledge and skills of the new driver up to the level needed to perform the job safely and properly. Money, time, and effort paid out in training costs will be offset by fewer accidents, lower maintenance costs, less absenteeism, a lower turnover rate, reduced supervisory burden, and improved public relations.

On the opposite end of the feedback spectrum is a personal attack. A personal attack is negative and destructive. The only positives that may be gained from this type of feedback are to know the attacker s stance and improve your conflict management skills by diffusing the situation. The information given in a personal attack is based on emotion, personality, and communication style rather than any performance-related issue. There may or may not be facts present in the attack, which may be perpetrated in public or in private.
