Proximal region

The pipeline has constant parameters (/ , G, Z, Y ) and therefore also the same r values in the close proximity region. 

The equivalent circuit diagram in Fig. 23-4 shows a differential fundamental section and the closed-circuit impedance at the end of the close proximity region. 

If the pipeline ends within a close proximity region or if the pipeline is electrically cut off by an insulating unit, a ground must be connected at this point, whose grounding resistance corresponds roughly to the characteristic impedance, Z, according to Eq. (23-16) or with in Fig. 23-9.

A subdivision of 30 S proteins into three groups has been obtained by analyzing hydrolyzates of a protein-deficient reconstitution intermediate (RI) particle. In this case, the protein groups consisted of S4, SI6, SI7, and S20, with RNA from the 5 proximal region of the 16 S RNA S6, S8, S15, and S18, with RNA from the central region and S7, S9, S13, and S19, with RNA from the 3 proximal region (Zimmermann et al, 1974, 1975). 

An alternative explanation that may also account for the inability of the C-terminal peptide to compete for cell-surface interactions is that its binding site is located not on the extracellular domain of the receptor, but rather on the intracellular domain. The primary differences between the cell-surface form of the IFN-y receptor and (2) the accessibility of the recombinant receptor s cytoplasmic domain. A synthetic peptide corresponding to the membrane proximal region of the cytoplasmic domain of the murine IFN-y receptor was able to bind IFN-y and specifically compete with the binding of IFN-y (95-133) to fixed/permeabilized cells [33].
