Practice writing

Take any subject that you are studying. Choose a few terms that are commonly used in it. Use your own words to try to pin down what the term means for you. If you are noting words that are already familiar to you, think about where your present understanding of them comes from. [Pg.15]

Pay attention to unfamiliar terms in the extracts and main body of this book as you work through it. Use your computer to put together a glossary of terms, editing it as you learn more about the terms you have included. Print it off regularly so that you can use the hard copy for reference. [Pg.15]
