Power line input/output

The DC filter choke is used for ripple voltage and current reduction on the output of the switching power supply immediately following the existing filters. It is also used as an EMI filter on switching power supplies that have a single power line on the input, such as battery and distributed power systems. [Pg.48]

The purpose of an input conducted EMI filter is to keep the high-frequency conducted noise inside the case. The main noise source is the switching power supply. Filtering on any of the input/output (I/O) lines is also important to keep noise from any internal circuit, like microprocessors, inside the case. [Pg.245]

Laser action without any visible degradation was obtained in the InGaN/GaN MQW heterostmctures up to T = 585 K. The laser spectra at low / xc consist of one very narrow line with the lowest FWHM of 0.04 nm. All lasers had well pronounced threshold input-output characteristics. The external differential quantum efficiency of the laser operating at 452 nm for TE polarisation amounts to the value of 77 = 3%. The maximum total energy and power per pulse from both facets were 300 nJ and 40 W, correspondingly, at room temperature for lias = 452 nm. [Pg.519]

Three definitions are given about the power line concepts. A power line characterizes the way energy flows between two points in a system. So, talking about inverse models (here implicitly between the inputs and the outputs), the input/output (I/O) power line concept is defined. Finally, the invertibility criteria presented in Section... [Pg.201]

Definition 6.2 (Input/output (I/O) power line) An input/output (I/O) power line starts from a modulated element and goes to a detector (De or Df element). [Pg.201]

I/O power lines. It can be easily verified in this bicausal bond graph representation that the junction structure is solvable. In conclusion of this phase the design model of the load (vehicle without its suspensions) is validated with respect to the pair of inputs (Ff,Fi) and the pair of outputs (z, 4>). The design process can be pursued. [Pg.214]

ETT systems should be designed to ensure that power is available, and the circuits to the field devices (inputs/outputs) are intact. Typically, diagnostics, such as end-of-line detection to verify loop continuity, backup power, such as batteries, and power monitoring with low-/no-voltage alarms are implemented to ensure power availability when needed for shutdown purposes. It is also very important that these backup power systems be designed to allow periodic testing to ensure they perform when called upon. [Pg.172]

Thus, ii is the difference between the two signals that is amplified. Any extraneous voltage common to the two inputs shown in Figure 3-13 will be subtracted and will not appear in the output. Thus, any slow drift in the output of the transducers or an 60-cyclc currents induced from the laboratory power lines will be eliminated from V ,. This useful property accounts for the widespread use of difference amplifier circuits in the first amplifier stages of many instruments. [Pg.571]

Wind power A modern off-shore wind turbine dependable control-system manages up to three thousand inputs / outputs, several hundreds of functions are distributed over several hundred nodes grouped into eight subsystems interconnected with a field-bus and the distributed software contains several hundred thousand lines of code [32,33]. [Pg.4]

Facilities for on-line testing such as design and labelling of override switches, power isolation facilities per loop fimction, layout of terminations, local test facilities for valves and actuators. The design should segregate the input/output terminations and the power isolation to allow one safety loop to be worked on or tested without risk to the others... [Pg.259]

Although, the input line is low enough to draw all the bias eurrent to run the eontrol IC and the MOSFET, doing so would waste approximately 1.2 W, or a 4.2 pereent effieieney loss. A start-up eireuit that provides eurrent from the input only during start-up or overeurrent foldbaek is best. The IC and MOSFET ean reeeive power from the -I-12V output during normal operation.
