Abstract—The results of solving the Schrodinger equation for the simple case of a proton moving in a potential field with two equal minima are given for a series of physically possible parameters. Several examples of infrared spectra containing double voh bands such as potassium hydrogen phosphate, carboxylic acids, and seleninic acid, are discussed wad compared with the results of the calculations. [Pg.147]

Phosphate buffer 0.1 mol L , pH — 7.0 solution is used as electrolytic solution. Crystals of potassium hydrogen phosphate K2HP04 and potassium dihydrogen phosphate KH2P04 are purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (France). All the reagents mentioned are of analytical grade. [Pg.1024]

The pBondapak Ci8 column is preceded by a Ci8 pellicular guard column. Mandelic acid elutes in approximately six minutes. Following the elution of mandelic acid, it is necessary to run a short gradient to 60% methanol/40% 0.05 M potassium hydrogen phosphate (pH 4.5) to remove retained compounds from the column in preparation for the next sample injection. Four or five samples may be processed per hour. The sensitivity of this method is 10 mg mandelic acid per liter of urine. Results of urinary levels of mandelic acid have correlated well with the degree of exposure to styrene. [Pg.110]

Benzotellurophene2 3.3 g (13.4 mmol) of 3-oxo-2,3-diliydrobcnzotellurophene are dissolved in 30 ml of ethanol, 1.2 g (35 mmol) of solid sodium borohydride are added, and the mixture is stirred at 20° for 2 h. The resultant mixture is poured into water, the pH is adjusted to 6 by addition of acetic acid, and extracted with chloroform. The extract is evaporated and the residue is distilled from potassium hydrogen phosphate yield 0.6 g (20%) b.p. 115°/0.6 torr. [Pg.759]

The photocatalyst was T1O2 Degussa P-25 (mainly anatase, specific surface area 50 m2 g-1). Ti02 in suspension was used in all photocatalytic experiments. Sodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium bicarbonate, sodium nitrate, sodium sulfate, sodium chloride, potassium sulfate, potassium bicarbonate, potassium hydrogen phosphate, potassium sulfate, potassium nitrate, potassium chloride, and iron chloride were used without further purification and were supplied by Fluka (Buchs, Switzerland). [Pg.446]

The reaction is acid or base catalyzed. Many catalysts have been tried, including potassium acetate and sodium acetate (27), dimeth-ylformamide (DMF) (28-30), urea ammonium sulfate (29), magnesium perchlorate (31-33), trifluoroacetic acid (32), boron trifluoride (30), sodium acetate (31), potassium hydrogen phosphate (34), and y-rays (35). The best acetylation condition, however, is uncatalyzed acetic anhydride in xylene at 100-130 C (36). [Pg.184]

Noordam et al. reported the separation of pilocarpine, and the decomposition products mentioned above, on an octadecyl column with a mobile phase consisting of a mixture of water and methanol (97 3) containing 5 potassium hydrogen phosphate (pH 2.5)(Fig.14.1). It was found that increasing the salt concentration and lowering the pH lead to improved selectivity and peak shape. [Pg.421]
