Potassium core composition

Scotts technology (17) uses fluid-bed (Wurster column) technology to apply polymeric coatings to a number of fertilizer substrates including urea, potassium nitrate, potassium sulfate, and monoammonium phosphate (MAP). The coating material is appHed as a water-borne latex onto the fluidized substrate. As the substrate is fluidized with warm air (40—50°C), water is driven off and the latex coalesces into a continuous film around the fertilizer particle. The particular latex compositions used have selected glass-transition and blocking temperatures, which enable quick removal of the water before the soluble fertilizer core dissolves. This obviates the need to use precoats prior to the latex appHcation. [Pg.137]

The aerial part of sage was successively extracted with water, potassium oxalate, DMSO and KOH, and gave rise to different fractions with bioactivity. Partial purification of the water extract gave rise to a polydisperse fraction called A, that based on the monosaccharide composition, IR, and NMR, was thought to be composed of arabinogalactans associated with the highly ramified rhamnogalacturonans core. Fracfion B, exfracfed wifh oxalate, was... [Pg.90]

Analysis of the nny 82 ammunition as previously detailed shows that it uses a mercuric corrosive primer. Analysis of the Chinese 351/73 ammunition revealed that it has a copper-coated iron-jacketed bullet with an iron core and a lead tip, the cartridge case is steel with a brown colored lacquered finish, a brass primer cup, and the propellant is single based with DPA, 2 x nitrodiphenylamines, camphor, and contains no inorganic additives, and the discharged primer composition is antimony, potassium, chlorine, mercury, tin, sulfur, iron, manganese, phosphorus, zinc, and lead in descending order (lead, antimony, mercury type). [Pg.203]

The sample suite from each core can be divided into four factors on the basis of similarities in chemical compositions as defined by Q-mode factor modeling. Factor-1 samples are rich in trace metals due to adsorption onto clay, altered tuffaceous material, and (or) organic matter and precipitation as sulfides. The relatively high concentration of boron is probably related to its inclusion in authigenic feldspars. Factor-2 samples are rich in elements commonly associated with minerals of detrital or volcanic origin. These samples contain relatively high concentrations of analcime, dawsonite, and (or) potassium feldspar, all of which are associated with alteration of tuffaceous material. Siderite and ferroan or ankeritic... [Pg.270]

This study is based on the integrated analysis of 211 m of cores taken from two oil wells (AB-1 and AB-2) in the Albacora Field (Fig. 1). A total of 170 thin sections were selected for detailed petrographic investigation of the carbonate cements 54 of these were selected for modal compositional analyses by counting of 300 points per thin section. Sampling was representative of the cored intervals. The carbonate cements were stained with a solution of 0.15% HCl, 1.0% potassium ferrocyanide and 0.1% alizarin red-S in order to determine Fe distribution. The cathodoluminescence of the cements was examined through a TECHNOSYN luminoscope. [Pg.310]

Thus, I have found sand core or mold compositions of foundry sand and binder wherein the composition consists essentially of 85 to 97 parts by weight of foundry sand and 3 to 15 parts by weight of an aqueous binder comprising an aqueous sodium, potassium or lithium silicate solution or mixmres thereof and amorphous sUica, the amorphous silica in the silicate solution determined by the Gore test... [Pg.790]
