Policy subsystem

Our search procedures represent a departure from the above type of paradigm. Rather than simply accepting and implementing a decision policy found by DUg, that optimizes an overall measure of performance, the infimal subsystems and corresponding plant personnel play an active role in the construction and validation of solutions. One tries to build a consensus decision policy, Xpp, validated by all subsystems, DU , k = I,..., K, as well as by the whole plant, DUg, and only when that consensus has been reached does one move toward implementation. Within this context, the upper-level decision unit, DUg, assumes a eoordination role. 

Accordingly with the institutional data refreshment policies based on the needs of individual institution, the content management subsystem will access the predefined datasets at selected public data banks and retrieve additional or updated reference data sets. The reference data refreshment policy is configurable by the researchers and maintained in a human-readable as well as machine-readable format by the content management subsystem. The data in the local reference data repository is maintained in a form that is optimal for the researchers chosen research applications. 

Education systems and their special subsystems are not neutral elements. The decisions that assign black children to special education or otherwise exclude them from mainstream, and nonpolicies that fail to recognise the links between race and special forms of education are a product of the residual historical beliefs that shape the values of policy-makers, professionals, and practitioners (p. 84). 

Next, consider the last two beds. There exists an optimal policy for the subsystem comprising the two beds as a whole. In this optimal policy the first of the two (considered in the direction of the process flow) does not necessarily operate in the conditions which would be optimal if it were alone. The second has to be optimal for the feed coming from the first, however, or the combined policy would not be optimal. Therefore,... 

It is a technique to identify the policies that should be implemented to manage failures to achieve the required safety for a system or subsystem (lEC/ISO 31010, 2009). Thereby, this technique focuses on system functions not on hardware (Rausand, 1998). To analyze a system, RCM asks several questions e.g. concerning functions, causes of functional failures, modes of failures, and suitable proactive tasks (Siddiqui and Ben-Daya, 2009). 

The Project shall comply with the Prometheus Single Point Failure Policy as documented in the Prometheus Project Policies Document 982-00057. (Level 2 Requirement) Structure and thermal management subsystems must be designed with fault tolerant capacity. This would include features such as ability to react flight loads in presence of element failure (with reduced margin) and redundant heaters and temperature sensors. Micrometeoroid and orbital debris protection reduce the risk in areas where single point failure can not be eliminated, such as the pressure boundaries.
