Plot plans proposal

Portable fire extinguishers should be shown in their proposed locations on process unit or area plot plans and on building floor plans. A list of the extinguishers and their locations should be made for inspection and maintenance purposes. [Pg.232]

Preliminary plot plans and conceptual equipment layouts must be developed during the Phase 0/Phase 1 work in order to determine the plot requirements and help the estimators visualize the proposed facilities and prepare realistic cost estimates. [Pg.58]

The proposal plot plan, shown in Exhibit 3-1, is developed during the estimate phase of the projea and is used to estimate bulk materials. It is also included in the proposal as a representation of the unit arrangement to the prospeaive client. The proposal plot plan is based on limited information and generally indicates only the principal items of equipment, main supporting facilities, and overall dimensions. [Pg.28]

After contraa award, the proposal plot plan is updated to suit the latest information and is reviewed and approved by the client. This document becomes the basis for the plant layout phase of the projea and is called the planning plot plan. A sample planning plot plan is shown in Exhibit 3-2. On completion of the plant layout phase—when all the equipment has been sized and is in the best position to suit the projea requirements and when all access roads, buildings, and pipe tacks have been located—the plot plan is finally issued for construction. Ihis is illustrated in Exhibit 3-3 as the construaion plot plan. [Pg.28]

We have to state that we underestimated the difficulties in the scale-up, and we have to realize that there is so far no major industrial use of inorganic membranes in gas separation. Fig. 2 shows a so-called Robson plot. This plot was proposed by Robson to demonstrate the performance of a membrane [6]. On the ordinate is plotted the selectivity of a gas pair, on the abscissa the permeability of the component that is separated through the membrane. Fig. 2 shows two highlights of recent zeolite membrane research supported SAPO-34 and DD3R zeolite membranes. However, despite their performance in the CO /CH separation (earth gas sweetening to fulfill pipeline-grade conditions) under lab conditions is far above the organic polymers membranes, no scale-up into the industrial scale is planned. [Pg.285]
