There are two main theoretical arguments as to why play fighting and real fighting are sometimes confused (Smith Boulton, 1990). One corresponds to what Fagen (1981, p.338), in his review of animal play fighting, calls honest mistakes. For example, a child may respond to a playful initiation as if it were hostile, because he or she does not interpret a play initiation or play face correctly. Pour-Point Depressants. The pour point of alow viscosity paraffinic oil may be lowered by as much as 30—40°C by adding 1.0% or less of polymethacrylates, polymers formed by Eriedel-Crafts condensation of wax with alkylnaphthalene or phenols, or styrene esters (22). As wax crystallizes out of solution from the Hquid oil as it cools below its normal pour point, the additive molecules appear to adsorb on crystal faces so as to prevent growth of an interlocking wax network which would otherwise immobilize the oil. Pour-point depressants become less effective with nonparaffinic and higher viscosity petroleum oils where high viscosity plays a dominant role in immobilizing the oil in a pour-point test. [Pg.242]

A triangular shaped wheel cover with the center cut out to provide hub access was then applied to a wheel. The cover was constructed from a heat shrinkable poly- 10 olefin ftlm. Tape was attached to the apex points of the triangle. The tape liner was removed and the three adhesive sites were fastened to the spokes. As an identical complementary cover was then applied to the opposite face of the wheel in a mirror image fashion. The 1 adhesive contact points were positioned to encapsulate the spoke on either side within the adhesive contact point. Heat was then used to shrink the covers and achieve a wrinkle-free condition. There are advantages with the reverse-dial indicator method over the rim-and-face method - namely accuracy and the fact that the mechanic is forced to perform the procedure by the book, as opposed to being able to use trial and error .
