Plant Resources

Any set of guidelines must be tempered by the analysts experience. This is an investigative process. The explanations are rarely simple. However, many exhaustive tests have been run to identify that a bypass valve or alternative feed valve had been mistakenly left open. Plant resources were misused because the simple was overlooked ... 

At the Highgate Plant, resources were diverted to assist with the start-up of the new unit. The plant expects to make up for the resulting delay during the next quarter.

Due to the fact that one might not want to use all ERP business data objects in the APS system, an integration model is used to define for which plants, resources, materials, customers, etc., the integration interface should be active. The APS system also allows to maintain additional master data or to modify and enhance master data that came from the ERP system. Sometimes there are also additional types of master data (e.g. resource setup matrix) or information fields to master data (e.g., scheduling horizon) that really have no analogy in the ERP system and thus have to be maintained directly in the APS system.

Many plants can be grown in similar climates that resemble the plant s native land. Compatibility of the plant to a particular region and the cost of harvesting the plant in that same area are two criteria that determine the availability of crude drugs in a particular country. Additionally, national and international restrictions on the collection of wild plants tend to limit availability of plant resources and escalate cost of production. These factors also force countries to specialize in producing only certain types of phyto-medicinal resources. 

This peculiarity in the use of plant resources can be explained, in part, by the history of the occupation of Brazil itself, in that the ascendants came from other continents (Europe and Africa) and brought with them multiple influences, as also plant resources that, even today, are incorporated to the therapeutics of the Caboclos and Afro-Brazilians and/or Quilombolas...
