The study examined the pertinent sections of the two relevant statutes, the FFDCA and PHSA, and their implementing regulations in the Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 (21 CFR). We searched the literature for relevant documents, especially for the type of pertinent reports that seldom get entered in the archival literature.

Federal regulations add that these tabulations should include the data on each patient in each study, except that the applicant may delete those tabulations that the agency agrees, in advance, are not pertinent to a review of the drug s safety or effectiveness.

Amateur radio licensing is governed by the FCC under strict federal regulations. Individuals of any age may be granted a license to operate amateur stations for personal use. The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) of a chemical provides the necessary and pertinent information for its safe handling. Below are some of the pertinent federal requirements. Following several of them are related suggestions and recommendations, which this information source believes are also necessary or important to follow, even though they may not be part of the regulations. The most important recommendation that this chemical manufacturer makes is that workers be familiar with the health and safety aspects of TDI, and that they use the proper protective equipment when contact with this product is possible.

We will foeus on eommereial (federal/state OSHA), DOE, and the Army Corps of Engineers operations. In addition to these requirements there may be other regulatory standards that have requirements pertinent to hazardous materials.
