Personal computers continual upgrading

It is now possible for most students to purchase a basic computer system ai low cost. If a personal computer is not in the budget, most colleges and universities provide students access to campus-wide computer systems as part of tuition and fees. By this point in your studies, you are familiar with the use of a computer, but a few introductory comments are made just to help you get started with computing in the biochemistry laboratory. In terms of equipment, you will need a computer, monitor, printer, and some basic software. Some recommendations for specific hardware and software will be given here, but one must be aware that new products and important upgrades are continually being developed. 

B-type projects are more ambitious. They often involve the next generation of a base product. The continual upgrading in personal computers is a good example. A product in the B category could produce the same effect on the process dimension. However, it does not have to. The C-type project is the breakthrough in either product or process. It was found that most of the effort in an undertaking of this sort will be in software development, but the job can be done even by non-computer specialized reactor people working with programming languages they are already familiar with. It was also found that the continuing rapid advance of personal computer technology makes it essential that such a project be undertaken with inevitability of future hardware upgrading in mind.
