Parting Line Selection

This term is used both to describe designs that are etched or engraved in the mold surface and the process of inserting a printed film into the mold, to be produced as an integral component of the finished product. Etched surfaces can be drawn both parallel and perpendicular to a parting line of molds or postforming in an extrusion line.. However, be alert with molds to the fact that parallel to the parting line additional draft is required. A wide selection of patterns is available and new ones can be readily created. [Pg.538]

In this part we deal with the major chemical and physical factors affecting insect cell growth, baculovirus replication and product expression. The issues addressed are cell line selection for product expression, baculovirus-cell interactions and impact of differences in metabolic requirements of infected and non-infected cells in overall productivity. [Pg.186]

Nitric Oxide The ro-vibrational line selected for NO measurements is in the 1900 cm 1 region. Bottled gas of NO in Ne at a concentration of a few ppmv traceable to a National Bureau of Standards determination has been used as the calibration source for NO. The response time of the system for this gas is the residence time in the cell of 3 sec. The minimum detection limit MDC defined as a signal to noise of unity is better than 40 pptv (parts per 10ls by volume) for an integration time of 5 min fhe... [Pg.277]

Thermal spray deposition is a three-stage industrial process where a material is heated, accelerated and impacted onto a surface so that the material splats and cools. The sprayed materials are deposited in thin layers, usually less than 13 xm per pass of the thermal spray device. The use of the line-of-sight additive process enables either an entire part or selected areas to be coated. Moreover the coating thickness may be varied from area to area. [Pg.543]

Polyurethane pump liners and pump parts are selected for fine slurries with an average particle diameter of (minus 230 (m, minus 65 mesh). Impellers may operate up to a tip speed of 31 m/s (6100 ft/sec). Polyurethane lined pumps are used for flue gas desulfurization applications as well as for pumping fairly fine tailings from copper and gold plants and for moly and flotation circuits where oils are used as reagents. The upper limit for use of polyurethane is 82°C. Nominal hardness is 80 Shore A. [Pg.528]

For the manufacture of silicone molds using models in a cast, a master model will be needed. This master model is produced via stereolithography, selective laser sintering, or milling and is then cleaned and treated with a release agent. Then, the parting line is determined with the help of colored tape (Figure 1.277). [Pg.309]

Before the performance of the loading we have to apply 5 up to 12 sensors, according their size, on the cylindrical part of the drums and after a short check of the required sensitivity and the wave propagation the pneumatic pressure test monitored by AE can be performed. The selection of the sensors and their positions was performed earlier in pre-tests under the postulate, that the complete cylinder can be tested with the same sensitivity, reliability and that furthermore the localisation accuracy of defects in the on-line- and the post analysis is sufficient for the required purpose. For the flat eovers, which will be tested by specific sensors, the geometrical shape is so complicated, that we perform in this case only a defect determination with a kind of zone-location. [Pg.32]

In order to check the the validity of this method [8], 6 detection media Px where selected and applied on the reference pieces following the instructions of the standard (inclination angle 45° 3 applications of the detection medium and averaging). The arrangements of the cuts can be seen at Fig. 3. Indications or parts of indications are chosen for the valuation and marked by dashed lines. [Pg.672]

Selectivity Due to the narrow width of absorption lines, atomic absorption provides excellent selectivity. Atomic absorption can be used for the analysis of over 60 elements at concentrations at or below the level of parts per million. [Pg.422]

Figure 9.24 shows part of the laser Stark spectrum of the bent triatomic molecule FNO obtained with a CO infrared laser operating at 1837.430 cm All the transitions shown are Stark components of the rotational line of the Ig vibrational transition, where Vj is the N-F stretching vibration. The rotational symbolism is that for a symmetric rotor (to which FNO approximates) for which q implies that AA = 0, P implies that A/ = — 1 and the numbers indicate that K" = 7 and J" = 8 (see Section 6.2.4.2). In an electric field each J level is split into (J + 1) components (see Section 5.2.3), each specified by its value of Mj. The selection mle when the radiation is polarized perpendicular to the field (as here) is AMj = 1. Eight of the resulting Stark components are shown. [Pg.369]
