Parallel guide system

User s Guide to the P4 Parallel Programming System. P4 is set of portable parallel programming routines being distributed by Ewing Lusk of the Mathematics and Computer Science division at Argonne. P4 is available by anonymous ftp from info.mcs.anl.gov and by electronic mail from netlib ornl.gov. [Pg.304]

As stated previously, the lower half of the mould carrier is composed of two independent platens. They are fitted with a guiding system to ensure maximum parallelism between the platens. [Pg.124]

Figure 1. Schematic of a laser guide adaptive optics system. The laser is pr( jected along or parallel to the telescope ax onto the science object. The deformable mirror can be a separate entity, or can be an adaptive secondary. The light is split among the cameras by dichroics. Figure 1. Schematic of a laser guide adaptive optics system. The first documents dealing with the competence of laboratories were ISO/IEC Guide 25 and EN 45001 standard. They were issued to provide the necessary basis to be used by laboratories and by the bodies that assess their technical performance. In parallel, accreditation bodies nnder-took additional tasks with regard to the assessment of other activities (certification of products and systems) as specified in other EN 45000 series standards. The ISO/IEC 17025 has replaced EN 45001 (see slide 40), while other standards within EN 45000 series have been replaced by the ones in ISO/IEC 17000 series. [Pg.81]

In terms of criteria for the approval of private certification bodies, the EU regulation requires compliance to Annex 3 of the regulation in addition to ISO/IEC Guide 65. Annex 3 contains requirements not included in ISO Guide 65 such as parallel production. This format is similar to the IFOAM system with specific accreditation criteria that are not covered in the ISO guide. The USA and Japan have each developed distinct requirements. Beyond this, some countries such as India and Australia (in draft requirements) have chosen to base their criteria on IFOAMs (Commins 2003). [Pg.206]

Unlike crematorium II, crematorium III was not equipped with the rails via which ovens were loaded rather, these body conveyances were replaced with titters.107 Such a titter - they were also used in the Topf double-muffle ovens of Mauthausen and in the Kori ovens in other concentration camps - consisted of two parallel metal pipes 3 cm (approx. 1") in diameter and some 350 cm (11.5 ) in length. A slightly concave metal sheet 190 cm (6.2 ) long and 38 cm (15") wide was soldered onto their front, where they were to enter the muffle. The two pipes of the titter were soldered onto the oven door at the same distance apart as the guiding rollers, so that they could glide on them easily. In March 1943 it was decided that this system would also be introduced in crematorium II.108... [Pg.388]

Parallel to the development of ISO 14001 1996 - Environmental Management Systems - several organizations developed guides, draft specifications, and requirements for occupational health and safety management systems (OHSMSs). Most of this development has been done by management system registrars with the expectation that an OHSMS be accepted and issued by a national or internationally accredited standards body, that is, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), British Standards, and so on. [Pg.114]

A final application of EO F is the ability to direct and control the stream profile. Besselink et al. have developed a system that is designed to accurately position the middle of three streams in a laminar flow chamber [287]. They proposed that the system can be used for sending the middle fluid to selected parts of a chip, which contains a multi-sample array. The system is designed such that three parallel microchannels feed into the flow chamber (a wider channel). The two outer streams sandwich the middle stream to be analyzed. The guiding action of the two outer streams causes the center stream to flow across the chamber. By increasing the flow of one outer stream and decreasing the flow of the other, the middle stream is pushed to the side, as shown schematically in Fig. 7.25 and pictorially in Fig. 7.26. Control of the middle stream s width is adjusted by the flow rate ratio of the guiding streams and the sample stream [287]. [Pg.168]
