Secondary Fiber. Increasing costs of taw fiber, legislative mandates for recycling (qv), and avadabdity of inexpensive waste papers have contfibuted to the increased use of recycled fibers. The use of secondary fiber in the United States has grown from 22% of pulp from all sources in 1978 to close to 31% (24 x 10 metric tons) in 1993 (3). Recycled fibers ate sometimes used in special writing papers, but the principal use is for the manufacture of linetboatd, newsprint, tissue, cereal boxes, towels, and molded paper products such as paper plates and egg cartons (see Packaging materials, containers AND INDUSTRIAL materials).

Even inexpensive paper plates will work for many of the demonstrations if they have a thin plastic coating. If you have to use glass or ceramic utensils, wash them thoroughly and separately before any contemplated reuse with food, or, better, maintain a separate set dedicated to chemical demonstrations. You will probably do most of the demonstrations in the basement, kitchen, or bathroom, but keep the chemicals well separated from toothbrushes, foodstuffs, or counters that will come in contact with food or toothbrushes. You may cover your counters with newspaper for added protection. 

How to Use St icky t raps are simple affairs to mass produce at home. To make traps that will last several years, cut boards from V4" phivood. masonite, or a similar material and fasten them with staples or nails to garden stakes. You can also design them to hang from wire supports. Either way, make sure the traps are at average plant height. Traps made from cardboard or paper plates will work well in a greenhousef where they are protected from the elements. 

For safety, separate the crystalline mass onto paper plates at 1 gram per plate this will greatly reduce the risk of explosion. If a problem were to occur, the one gram on one of the plates would be less likely to hurt you.

Offset litho—this technique has occasionally been used in the past by using a special paper plate that can be photocopied and uses the properties of oil and water separation. Usually used only for fairly large labels.

Pre-sensitized plate n. In photomechanics, a metal or paper plate that has been precoated with a light-sensitive coating, e.g. pre-sensitized lithographic plate. 

Transection of the pituitary stalk in rabbits is followed by gonadal atrophy [1] and subsequent recurrence of oestrus (2].
