Biologically formed D-glucosone phosphate has been separated from d-glucosone by paper chromatography, using ethyl acetate-amyl alcohol-formamide (1 2 3) as developer. This solvent mixture does not completely separate D-glucosone phosphate from D-glucose 6-phosphate and D-fructose 1-phosphate.16... 

Paper chromatography using Whatman No. 1 paper was once used to determine the homogeneity of halcinonide. 60 Twenty percent formamide in methanol comprises one stationary phase and methylisobutyl ketone-formamide (20 1) is the mobile phase. A second solvent system uses 25% propylene glycol-chloroform as the stationary phase and toluene saturated with propylene glycol as the mobile phase.

Chromazurol S [1667-99-8] M 605.3. Purified by paper chromatography using zi-butanol, acetic acid and water (7 3 1). First and second spots extracted. 

Tests for carboxylic acids were made by paper chromatography using 95% ethanol (100 ml.) and concentrated ammonium hydroxide (1 ml.) as solvent and aqueous bromothymol blue as indicator (1). Tests for pyridines were made on their hydrochlorides using butanol-.acetic acid water (4 1 5) as solvent and ammoniacal iron chloride or cysteine-sulfuric acid as indicators. Phenol tests were made using the same solvent and ammoniacal silver nitrate as indicator. Preliminary separations by gas chromatography were attempted using a 15-foot silicone gum column and a hydrogen flame attachment. 

The compositions of the following fractions (collected from Column (I)) are identified by paper chromatography using Whatman No. 1 paper [Registered Trade Mark] and the aforementioned benzene-chloroform mixture. 

Paper chromatography uses paper (cellulose) as the stationary phase, to separate slightly polar organic compounds from each other it is used particularly in undergraduate laboratory experiments.

In paper chromatography using 50% acetonitrile in water, the activity corresponding to the Lu-DOTATATE complex moved towards the solvent front with = 0.8-0.9, while uncomplexed Lu remained at the point of spotting (Rf = 0). The paper chromatography patterns of LuCU, and the Lu-DOTATATE conjugate are shown in Fig. 8.4.
