Output assignment

Once inputs are assigned, output assignment begins using the method described in Section IV.B. Using this procedure, is identified as taking its value from Eq. (6) and is identified as taking its value from Eq. (7). 

The respective rows and columns of the structural matrix are then eliminated. The value of the reaction rate constant can be given only by the definitional relationship (9), and thus it is assigned as output from Eq. (9). On elimination of the row and column corresponding to Eq. (9) and variable k, no other output assignments can be made. The block structure that results allows the remaining variables to take their output from any one of several equations. 

To break the loop of cause-and-effect relationships, we make the unqualified assumption that Op2, the variable denoting the human operator, obtains its value from relationship (17) i.e., the operator responds to the temperature in the reactor (T ) and not vice versa. This assumption is then catalogued, as Assumption-1, so that it may be retracted at a later stage, as required. Such retraction allows the causality that emanates from the set of process equations to be modified. Once we have eliminated Eq. (17) and the column corresponding to variable Op, we can repeat the steps of the output set assignment (see Section IV.B), and find that F, obtains its value from Eq. (15). In order for our SLCM to support management of functional safety management activities, we have incorporated our SLCM into the FSM plan. This greatly helps to specify the management and technical activities from the FSM point of view because you can directly define the inputs and outputs, assign the defined roles to persons, plan the required activities.

The object types in the output assignment statements have been mixed. This has been done purposely in this case to demonstrate the use of the conversion function TO XOIZ with the signal CMP. Conversion and the similar strength stripper functions were discussed in Chapter 7. 

Result of reconstruction is a 3D matrix of output data assigned with the values of the local density inside elementary volumes. The ways of obtaining the 3D matrix of output data can be various. They are determined by the structure of tomographic system and chosen way of collected data processing.

There are several requirements for this to be a suitable deteetion method for a given moleeule. Obviously, tire moleeule must have a transition to a bound, exeited eleetronie state whose wavelength ean be reaehed with tunable laser radiation, and the band system must have been previously speetroseopioally assigned. If the moleeules are fonned with eonsiderable vibrational exeitation, the available speetroseopie data may not extend up to these vibrational levels. A distributed control system (DCS) normally uses input and output modules which contain eight, sixteen, or more inputs or outputs. Failure of the module will simultaneously disable a large number of control loops. Attention to the assignment of input/output points to the modules makes the plant more tolerant of a failure of an input or output module (CCPS, 1993a). For a more detailed discussion of process control systems, see the process control part of Section 4.4, and Sections 6.4 and 6.5. 

Select 4 from this menu and POST (postprocessor) begins by requesting the data input file name (e.g., dg.pi - prepared by FTAPlus), the punch file name (e.g., dg.pch), the block file name (e g. dg.blk) and the name to be assigned to the new punch file (e.g., dgn.pch). Step 7 Go back to Step 2 and repeat for the next pattern. Stop when the difference between the computed and desired outputs (= D) is less than some pre-assigned threshold. 

Let us illustrate the method with a LC-UV-visible data set of three overlapping peaks (Fig. 34.10). The TFA results obtained with six candidate spectra, including the pure spectra are given in Fig. 34.11. The assignment of the right spectra by an evaluation of the correlation coefficients between input and output target is obvious. 

Save the contents of the text buffer and all interactive assignments into the specified output file. The contents of the file will be in a format suitable for subsequent use in a READ command. 

The above results indicate again the need to assign to each grid point a different time interval over which the measurements of the output vector should be made.
