Ornamental plum—These trees produce red foliage and red fruit which is suitable for jams and jellies. The scientific name for the ornamental plum is Prunus cerasifera which is also the myrobalan plum. The major value of the myrobalan plum is its use as a rootstock for other stone fruits.

Deltamethrin is a crystalline powder, white or slightly beige in color. The formulations include emulsifiable concentrates, wettable powders, ultra-low volume and flowable formulations, and granules. There are no known incompatibilities with other common insecticides and fungicides. It is used as a contact poison to control apple and pear suckers, plum fruit moths, caterpillars on brassicas, pea moths, aphids (apples, plums, hops), winter moths (apples and plums), and codling and tortrix moths (apples). It also is used in control of aphids, mealybugs, scale insects, and whiteflies on glasshouse cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, potted plants, and ornamentals.9-11... 

The phytoalexins of the economically important Rosaceae, especially of the subfamily Maloideae, are biphenyls and dibenzofiirans (34). Maloideae include some of the best-known ornamental and edible-fruit plants in the temperate regions of the world. Valuable fruits are apples, pears and stone fruits such as peach, apricot, cherry, plum and almond. Furthermore, strawberries, blackberries and raspberries belong to the subfamily. 

In the USA, bifenazate was first approved and registered as a reduced-risk acari-cide for the ornamental market (1999) and soon thereafter for crops such as apples, pears, peaches, plums, grapes, cotton, strawberries and hops. Bifenazate is now under worldwide development for the selective control of spider mites acting against eggs, larvae, nymphs and mites under the trade names Floramite , Acramite , and Mitekohne .
