The ISO 14000 series of standards, known informally as Environmental ISO, is a set of generic standards developed by the ISO to provide organizations with a framework for managing the environmental impact of their activities. Environmental disciplines including the basic environmental management system, product labeling, criteria for auditing, and life-cycle assessment are included. 

Prokaryotes are single-celled organisms that are smaller and less complicated than the eukaryotes and have short life cycles. Biochemists make the useful assumption that the basic elements of living processes in, the two types of organisms are similar. Finally, some prokaryotes are easier to obtain, manipulate, and investigate than are multicellular eukaryotes. 

However, there are still basic questions to be answered about the life cycles and physiology of these organisms, and the environmental circumstances that lead to the development and sustenance of blooms. 

The products can also be recycled after use for second time and they can even be hydrolyzed back into lactic acid which is the basic monomer. Nevertheless, the recycled lactic acid can be re-introduced into the polymerization process of PLA. The last possibility is to introduce PLA into the natural life cycle of aU biomass where it degrades into carbon dioxide and water. Thus, the diversity of PLA becomes obvious as it can be recycled and also decomposed like all other organic matter. Besides that, it will do no harm if burned in an incineration plant or introduced into a classical waste management system (Jacobsen et al. [1]). The typical values of mechanical properties of PLA are displayed in Table 11.1. 

An organization s leaders should stress its responsibilities to the public and the need to practice good citizenship. These responsibilities refer to basic expectations of your organization related to business ethics and protection of public health, safety, and the environment includes your organization s operations, as well as the life cycles of your products and services. Also, organizations should emphasize resource conservation and waste reduction at the source. 

One can distinguish among several basic experimental approaches to the problem of membrane biogenesis in Chlamydomonas (1) Use of mutants which have lost the ability to form photosynthetic membranes when grown in the dark, but can do so when exposed to the light. (2) Use of synchronized cultures in which the replication of the chloroplast and increase in membrane can be isolated in time from the remainder of the other cellular and developmental activities during the life cycle of the organism. (3) Isolation and characterization of membrane mutants. (4) Use of specific protein, RNA, and DNA synthesis inhibitors in combination with any of the above three systems.
