Abstract. This work presents aspects regarding heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Cu, Zn, Cr, Mn, Ni and Hg) and organic pollutants in marine organisms collected from different zones of the Romanian Black Sea Coast. The heavy metals were analyzed using atomic absorption spectrometry. For the organic pollutants analysis was used a FISONS gas chromatograph. 

Wastewater contains in general a variety of organic pollutants. Analysis of these pollutants and their oxidation products during the electrochemical treatment is not only a complex matter but does not give direct informations about the current efficiency and the oxidation state of the organic carbon during treatment. 

Pulse polarography and stripping voltammetry are considered as methods of choice for the quantification of environmentally significant organic molecules (carbonyls, nitroaromatics, phenols, carboxylic acids, sulfonates, azomethines, thiols, amines, etc.) using electrochemical sensors with chemical recognition [28]. The current capabilities of biosensors for organic pollutants analysis are discussed by [7].

The methods, which allow in one procedure of analysis to overcome, for example, most pesticides which are used in agricultural practice in the present time, get development and introduction in practice. The contribution of the Ukrainian scientists in field of chromatographic analysis of Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs, chlorinated hydrocarbons, PCB s) and supertoxicants, such as PCDDs, is estimated. 

Phenols hold an important place among organic pollutants, which need to be constantly monitored in waters and in places of militai y activities. Sampling of phenol matrix is conducted with solid face extragents (SPE) with further HPLC or GC analysis. Application of the known SPE usually is ineffective as it doesn t give the possibility to provide full extraction of the analyt (microcontents) in the matrix media. Therefore SPE application needs further progress in their selectivity.
