Optional tests

The vendor shall specify the optional tests and inspection procedures necessary to ensure that materials are satisfactory for the service. Such tests and inspections shall be listed in the proposal. The purchaser may consider specifying additional tests and inspections, especially for materials used in critical components. [Pg.39]

When specified, at least 6 weeks before the first scheduled running test, the vendor shall submit to the purchaser, for his review and comment, detailed procedures for all running tests and all specified optional tests (4.3.4), including acceptance criteria for all monitored parameters. [Pg.52]

When specified, the vendor shall furnish a list of the procedures for any special or optional tests that have been specified by the purchaser or proposed by the vendor. [Pg.68]

Optional tests data and reports include NPSHR test, complete unit test, sound level test, auxiliary equipment test, bearing housing resonance test, and any other tests mutually agreed upon by the purchaser and vendor. [Pg.164]

Design and analysis of the first generation TIVM compressor/expander has shown that this concept has the potential to meet the DOE requirements for automotive fuel cell applications with better performance than many other options. Testing of the compressor/expander and generic TIVM prototypes... [Pg.497]

The eyes are examined and the grade of ocular reaction is recorded at 24, 48, 72 hours. Reading of reactions is facilitated by use of a binocular loupe, hand slit-lamp, or other expert meeuis. After the recording of observations at 24 hours, any or all eyes may be further exeunined after applying fluorescein. For this optional test, one drop of fluorescein sodium opthalmic solution... [Pg.170]

Anaerobic disintegration is an optional test, which is almost never requested. It is carried out under actual anaerobic digestion conditions or in a pilot plant that reproduces these same conditions. The material is exposed for a maximum of five weeks to a combination of anaerobic digestion and aerobic stabilization. After five weeks, we verify that at least 90% of the products of disintegration pass through a sieve with 2 mm mesh. [Pg.335]

This chapter presents one option for approval testing. It is left to the applicant to carry out any further optional testing or to try out other methods, since in this area there are not many standards. Therefore this procedure is written up according to Section B of the Building Products Guidelines. The considerations we have laid out here are ideal for high-quality Type III PVC-coated polyester fabrics. It is certainly possible to transfer this procedure to other types of fabric but then it would be necessary to discuss the individual details again. [Pg.133]

There are numerous factors which will affect the performance of light stabilizers in each polymer and application. Therefore, although careful definition of specific application requirements can help to develop some initial stabilizer options, testing of these systems via accelerated weathering techniques is often required. Numerous useful references are available describing accelerated test... [Pg.8707]
