Operation commissioning

Written procedures shall be established for commissioning. Procedures shall consider the need to isolate the pipeline from other connected facilities and the transfer of the constructed pipeline to those responsible for its operation. Commissioning procedures, devices, and fluids shall be selected to ensure that nothing is introduced into the pipeline system that will be incompatible with the hydrogen gas to be transported, or with the materials in the pipeline components. [Pg.155]

On satisfactory completion of SAT the system can be considered as available for plant operational commissioning. The computer system SAT report should document a high level of confidence in the computer system (i.e., the computer integrated with the field instrumentation and controlled function) in readiness for in situ site qualification testing activities. [Pg.611]

With the completion of Heysham II and Torness, the UK s nuclear capacity will have reached nearly 13000 MW. It is worth noting that this is being achieved while the CEGB s original nuclear power stations at Berkeley and Bradwell are still in operation (commissioned circa 1962). The safety record of British nuclear power stations has been excellent and much of the credit for this must rest with the fine training standards which have been achieved through the use of the Training Centre at Oldbury. [Pg.129]

Following construction and installation testing, pre-operational commissioning is performed to demonstrate that equipment and systems perform in accordance with design criteria so that initial fuel loading, initial criticality and subsequent power operation can be safely undertaken. Pre-operational tests at elevated pressure and temperature are referred to as hot functional tests. [Pg.410]

Section 14.2.9.1, Chapter 14 ofthe EDCD (Reference 10.3 includes detailed descriptions of the pre-operational commissioning required for the safety significant systems identified below ... [Pg.417]

This section identifies those commissioning tests that are performed following completion of the pre-operational commissioning but prior to initial criticality testing. These tests include those performed prior to core load to verify that the plant is ready for core loading, the loading of the core and the tests performed under hot conditions after the core has been loaded but prior to initial criticality. [Pg.420]

The banking angles of the idlers in the horizontal curve had to be increased as a result of the increase in belt-line tension to keep the belt centered on the rolls dining fully loaded operation. Commissioning showed that the application of the VSD s, for a soft start and operational stop, and the Capstan considerably reduced the tension variations in the belt and therefore kept the side displacement of the belt in the horizontal curves within acceptable limits. [Pg.241]

Instructions for operation, commissioning and maintenance relevant to the system should be referenced. [Pg.78]
