Monthly Information Bulletin, 1947-. Articles and notes on new developments and scattered statistical data. In LC. 

In addition to the technical reports, general publications are issued by the Public Relations Branch in London. These include the monthly bulletin Atom which gives official news booklets Information Papers giving the text of selected speeches, and articles, films, photographs and slides. The AERE at Harwell issues a weekly Information Bulletin containing titles of selected articles from journals received in the library and a monthly accessions list Recent Additions to the Library. Similar publications are also issued jointly by the DEG and PG at Risley.

The Toxicology Information Services at the Karolinska Institutet 1n Stockholm, Sweden, publish a monthly bulletin entitled Teratology Lookout. This excellent source of references of interest to experimental teratologists and clinicians is compiled by an advisory panel. The secondary sources Biological Abstracts, Biological Abstracts/RRM, and Chemical Abstracts and the MEDLARS data bases are scanned by the use of computer profiles to spot pertinent material. Keywords have been added to each reference, and most references include author addresses. The contents are divided into seven... 

These procedures serve a number of purposes in addition to maintaining the files. For example, the selections made in Chemical Abstracts are checked for completeness of coverage both at Mellon Institute and at Gulf Research, and a mimeographed bulletin is prepared for each issue it contains all the abstracts considered by the selectors to be of interest to Gulf Research personnel. This bulletin, prepared by the Information Section, is so arranged that individual abstracts can be clipped from it, pasted on file cards, and added to each man s personal file. The patent abstracts are published monthly in a mimeographed bulletin put out by the Patent Section. Thus, the entire technical personnel of the company is kept abreast of current developments in the field, and each man may build a personal file to suit his particular needs. 

Those in attendance at conventions and trade shows are frequently afforded an opportunity to pick up literature in connection with exhibits. Many companies which issue technical bulletins and other literature will, on request, place the reader s name on a regular mailing fist to receive material automatically as it is issued. Sometimes the lists are classified so that the individual recipient is sent only information which is of specific interest to him. Some of these mailing lists are seldom revised, whereas other organizations send out check-up cards every few months. 

Publications and education are important elements of APhA program development. New product bulletins and special reports are aimed at equipping practitioners with timely and unbiased information for their practice. APhA periodical publications include Journal of the American Pharmaceutical Association, Pharmacy Today, Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacy Student, and Drug-Info Line, the newest monthly newsletter which provides concise summaries of key pharmacotherapeutic issues.

Once the policy has been developed it should be placed on bulletin boards, distributed to all employees, and/or discussed in weekly/monthly safety meetings as applicable. You will know you have communicated the information when every employee in the organization can discuss the reporting policy. Refer to Appendix A for a sample policy statement [2].

Chemical Hazards in Industry. Published monthly by the Royal Society of Chemistry, the bulletin gives information on the hazards caused by chemicals likely to be encountered in the chemical and allied industries, and how they might adversely affect health and safety.
