Today, all of the leading manufacturers of injection molding machines offer such systems. For sensitive and delicate structures, the mold protection may require additional facilities. The same applies to queries, sensors and machine controllers. In the field of micro system technology, it is common to offer additional facilities and advanced machine control options. [Pg.304]

To prepare the standard pH buffer solutions recommended by the National Bureau of Standards (U.S.), the indicated weights of the pure materials in Table 8.15 should be dissolved in water of specific conductivity not greater than 5 micromhos. The tartrate, phthalate, and phosphates can be dried for 2 h at 100°C before use. Potassium tetroxalate and calcium hydroxide need not be dried. Fresh-looking crystals of borax should be used. Before use, excess solid potassium hydrogen tartrate and calcium hydroxide must be removed. Buffer solutions pH 6 or above should be stored in plastic containers and should be protected from carbon doxide with soda-lime traps. Prepared feeds are marketed in various forms from very fine particles through cmmbles, flakes, and pellets. Pelleted rations may be hard, semimoist, or moist. Hard pellets typically contain less than 10% water and can be stored under cool, dry conditions for at least 90 days without deterioration of quahty. Semimoist pellets are chemically stabilized to protect them from degradation and mold if they are properly stored, while moist pellets must be frozen if they are not used immediately after manufacture. The ahoy is molded to the shape of various organs that are to be shielded. In joining reinforced thermosetting pipe it is particularly important that the pipe be cut without chipping or cracking it. It is also important to sand, file, or grind any mold-release agent from the surfaces to be cemented. Joints are built up layer by layer of adhesive-saturated reinforcement by following the manufacturer s recommended procedure. Application of adhesive to the surfaces to be joined and assembly of these surfaces shall produce a continuous bond and provide an adhesive seal to protect the reinforcement from attack by the contents of the pipe.
