Metal surfaces, cleaning

Fluorotitanic acid is used as a metal surface cleaning agent, as a catalyst, and as an aluminum finishing solvent (see Metal surface treatments). Fluorotitanates are used in abrasive grinding wheels and for incorporating titanium into aluminum aHoys (see Abrasives Aluminumand aluminum alloys).

Metal surface cleaning, by virtue of (limited) sequestration, dispersing, surface-acting, and detergent properties. 

FLUX (Solder). A material which by its chemical action facilitates the soldering and brazing of metals. Again, the key to this problem lies in making all efforts to keep the metal surfaces clean. Additional chemical treatment may improve matters, but it is unlikely to be the most cost-effective long-term solution.

Industrial lubricants include metalworking lubricants, industrial greases, industrial lubricants, transformer oils, hydraulic oils, refrigeration oils, turbine oils, compressor oils, rock drill lubricants, paper machine oils, way lubricants, and railway journal box oils. The required additive package for each of these industrial oils is different depending on its specific application. Unlike lubricants used in automotive lubrication, industrial lubricants typically do not use metallic detergents and ashless dispersants as additives to keep metal surfaces clean and prevent insoluble materials from formation of deposits on metal surfaces [23]. However, in recent years the use of overbased detergents to supplement performance of the antiwear additive zinc dialkyl dithiophosphate has been reported [24]. 

Painted aluminum, galvanized steel, steel, pine wood, and particle board substrates were used for testing purposes, and they were all well cleaned, although at different rates. The paint is the critical factor for cleaning since the substrate is not purposely abraded or removed. All metal surfaces cleaned at the same rate with the same equipment because the paint was similar, but the heat diffusion property of metal surfaees reduced the heat gim s cleaning rate.
