Another simple point is that presentations should be made and given that are adapted to the audience rather than being a standard pitch. Too often the complaint is heard from one side or the other that they sat through a 30- or 40-minute dissertation of irrelevant material, or worse, hopped from one presentation to another because the information relevant to that meeting had not been collated into a coherent presentation.
