Mobility devices

Longer uninterrupted operation of a number of smaller electronic devices (mobile phones, portable PCs, etc.) will require the ordinary batteries driving them to be replaced by power sources of higher capacity. [Pg.362]

Therefore, the device mobility can be calculated in the saturation region from the slope of a line drawn of an Id1 2 vs. Vq plot through the linear part. [Pg.282]

Despite minute differences such as a small portion of differently oriented crystals (indicated by black arrows in Figure 4.1.8b) and smaller grain size in the OTS sample, two-dimensional GIXD supports the fact that the HMDS and OTS samples have a similar vertical conducting path for top contact devices. Mobility measurements, however, show drastically different mobihties p = 3.4 + 0.5 cm V s on HMDS-treated surface and 0.5 0.15 cm V s on OTS-treated surface, using 60-nm thick pentacene fihns in the top contact OTFT. This fact suggests that the minute differences in grain sizes may be important. [Pg.271]

Watanabe et al. also constructed field effect transistors from hexacene single crystals [32]. The authors report an averaged (14 devices) mobility of 0.88 cm s with a threshold at 34 V and an on/off ratio of 10" -10. The best hole mobility observed was 4.28 cm s. The conductivity of crystalline hexacene (2.21 x 10 S m ) was slightly higher than that of pentacene [32]. The hole mobilities of hexacene thin films have been measured very recently [34]. [Pg.7]

There are several aspects that need to be considered when selecting the physical mobile device. Mobile devices come in a variety of shapes and sizes, with a multitude of different features. It is possible to purchase devices with hardware keyboard or software-emulated keyboards on screen. The form factor of the device may be designed to be comfortably held in a single hand or with two hands. For healthcare providers in particular, the size of the device is very important. The device must be able to be easily and securely carried by the provider and stowed in a provider s coat pocket. The goal is to have the maximum display size and as lightweight a device as possible. [Pg.371]
